  17. This is interesting and tragic to me. Israel has traditionally been surrounded by hostile enemies with their backs to the sea, as the Palestinians are or perceive themselves to be. One would think there could be some degree of empathy to be seen. Israel is repeating the exact same mistakes as the United States in Iraq. They want to "Free" Gaza from "that group" and have no one to replace them. Completely unprepared for the vacuum to come.

  34. In the beating of the war drums leading up to Gulf War 2 as I refer to it in 2003, I was watching the news and my heart stopped seeing a certain guest. It happened to be the Father of an ex who wouldn't allow us to be together. He would record our phone conversations and anything he could do to keep us apart. I knew he was Iraqi, but not that he was a former Nuclear Scientist for Saddam Hussein that defected until that moment. I had no idea what I was up against as a teenager in love.
