  2. My daughter in law was killed on the operating table with a simple operation. Her heart was given to a 74 yr old doctor who was extremely grateful and he had to live within the hospital for I believe 18 months. Glad her heart saved someone even after the doctor killed her. Wish the recipient would have been younger however

  3.  @fatchoppedsalad2950  the hospital had every major law firm in the area on retainer so the law firms wouldn’t take the case due to conflict of interest. I told the surgeon “ congrats - your scalpel has killed more people than all my guns- sarcastically. He admitted she was the first person he ever lost. My son lost half his family income, his wife, and his two daughters lost their mom. My son had a mental breakdown ( he never was overly capable) and lost his kids to a foster home. County didn’t want family to have them ( I hate Anoka county ) as the kids were hurting and didn’t know what to do. At least they found a great family to live with eventually and do spend time with us.

  4. I remember when Mickey Mantle got a transplant knowing he had lung cancer from smoking. He didn’t live that long anyway thus taking a healthy organ from someone who could have lived a long healthy life. The governor of Pa a long time ago I believe went to the head of the list for two transplants if my memory serves me correctly- used his position to go to the head of the line.

  9. Been to his “ church” as well. It is a “ production “ more than a church and he spends more time asking for yet more money than actually giving a decent sermon. You get the feeling of being fleeced as soon as you walk in. I’m a pilot and know that Hammond has more than one plane

  12. Used to scuba dive in California many moons ago and used rips to get out into deeper water. Now 50 yrs later I don’t know if I could be comfortable knowing rips were there . And no matter the skill of a swimmer panic can set in shutting down the simple knowledge to swim parallel and then in. One thing thru didn’t mention was beaches can have multiple rips and then finding the safe corridor in is tougher

  29. I used to canoe the shoreline for fish and occasionally a jet ski idiot would see how close he could come,laughing all the time. After the first time I put a huge daredevil treble hook lure on my line and whipped it by his face. End of problem every time

  38. When I do fly ( very seldom now) I bring sanitizing wipes and wipe down anything I could possibly touch. Have known for years about the coffee issue ( not so much the Diet Coke thing ). And anyone with common sense should have a clue about the cleanliness of those pillows and blankets.
