@neeneko the farmers I know just want to fix their own stuff when it breaks ,not wait a week for JD to show up. A week waiting to harvest could mean the difference between profit or loss on years already controlled by Mother Nature

@ShainAndrews went to the JD museum in Moline,Ill. They are the only manufacturer still in business under the same name. I grew up around farming and can’t even remember all the brands around back in the 60s.

Exactly but there are idiots among us who think it can’t be burned cleanly even tires

@captiannemo1587 I don’t think they were always that way.

@neeneko in other words deep pocket corporations I assume

It can be burned cleanly creating energy but no, we bury tons of it daily. The rest ends up in our oceans

Stephen Ferree Sweden is always considered the utopia for just about everything and they burn about 98% of their trash to include plastics. So they must know something we don’t or they are polluting the air

@rockstarofredondo Boomers grew up with those milk carton containers. Unfortunately we also grew up with lots of glass containers which ended up broken in our rivers and lakes which made swimming dangerous to the feet. There has to be a more environmental friendly solution to plastic. India has used fine plastic particles in their roads ( as have other countries). Seems reasonable or at least promising

Can’t remember the JD model of tractor but it is highly prized on the re-sale market as it is a workhorse and the farmer can fix it himself. Farmers have to be “ jack of all trades” to stay in business
