@Kim-sq9gp normally I would agree with ( 23 yrs army retired ) but under Obama’s and Biden’s regime the leaders were picked primarily for their political stance even though they had great credentials ( imo ). I am not impressed with the bronze star necessarily because some units give them for unit attendance

@ I served with the 173rd airborne in Vietnam ( 1968) and we all got Arcoms for serving. My friends in the 101st all got bronze stars for meritorious service. My XO got two silver stars for his heroic actions in some serious battles we had. I take medals with a grain of salt. The guy I bought my hangar from was a chopper pilot in Vietnam ( almost six years there) had 72 air medals ( he showed me the award orders ).

@ that might be,but I saw the orders which puzzled me as well .Maybe my memory isn’t as good as I think 😄

@ fyi, in Vietnam air medals were awarded with 25 hrs of combat assaults, 50 hrs of non combat hours, 100 hrs of other, and in 1968 the rules were amended to include all together. Facts matter

@ I’m referring to Vietnam which last time I checked wasn’t in the 80s or 90s. I was real clear about that
