Most people forget ( or conveniently ignore) that all states survive on tax revenue. It just depends on what “ tax” affects you the most. Unfortunately property taxes are going to be there unless you are living in a tent. States without income tax make it up in many ways,

Our mpls inner city schools get literally twice as much in funding as outstate schools. And their results are still horrible even with minority teachers ( another thing they claimed would improve the outcome but didn’t ). You can’t throw money at every problem and expect positive outcomes

@importedemperor4397 and the Dept of Education can be added to that. I’m not anti union but the teachers union is out of control and like many are too powerful with the wrong agenda imo.

@vantefrom870 don’t know if this is actual but Chicago has such corrupt pension systems that it just has to suck a crap load of tax money to fund those generous pensions. Ca has over 1.2 trillion in unfunded pension obligations for the same reason. Politicians keep kicking the proverbial can down the road when they make generous ( very questionable) pension deals.

@sitdowndogbreath sucks when teachers can’t defend themselves against physical attack. When I was young the football coach would have run your head thru a locker if even one hand was lifted towards a teacher.

@653j521 actually I am. I give more than most. There are takers and givers and I’m a giver as opposed to sectors of our country which do nothing but take.
