@rayray8687 a 406 is a great tool. Push the switch and the signal is sent. No guarantees but any additional tools increase your chances. I also carry a hand held 406 in addition to my panel Mount

@AnonyMous-jf4lc and 30% or so of IMC fatalities still involve Instrument rated pilots I believe. I only fly VFR as it is so much safer

@MrShobar I think we have all done that. I had FS years ago open a VFR flight plan for me without my knowledge ( I had closed my flight plan at a fuel stop and did not intend to open one to my final destination) and they called me after I landed
