@Ilikerainydayz
Have you ever worked in a hospital/ ER dept/ care home facility? have you any experience in the medical care field?
I have for 15 years, and preventative care is standard practice.
She was obviously pregnant, her demeanour was suspicious, refusing physical exams, the family dynamics were odd/ off
The mother should have been asked to leave whilst she underwent tests etc.
There were red flags all over this patient from the get go
Intuition and common sense is very much needed. As for allowing her to go to the toilet alone is madness.
I've opened many locked doors far quicker than in this situation to prevent incidents of self harm, falling, collapsing.
In medical environments things can go wrong quickly, staff are trained to see red flags. She obviously should be punished for her actions but there is plenty of blame to go around. In my opinion
her family, the boyfriends family, school teachers/ friends, hospital staff all contributed in this tragic case. Much can be learnt.
Any defense attorney worth their weight will blame others we all know that. Time will tell, I've seen many medical professionals get disciplinaries, investigated, and dismissed for much less serious a case than this. Kind regards
