  1.  @TrevorCrook-c1s  NATO is insurance. Besides, we knew Russia's military was working with second rate equipment and incompetence in their training, but it wasn't demonstrated until the walked into Ukraine. The proof is there.

  2. @@standupnow-bo3lr As an army dude, this was the dumbest controversy that the Air Force had. The Air Force brass does not want to do the close air support mission. They didn't want to support the army. They wanted their budget to reflect an inventory of high-speed Fighters and bombers, the last thing they wanted was something that flies low and slow. When the Cobra first came out in the 1960s they were attempting to take it because it was an armed aircraft and apparently that was their purview. The warthog was possibly going to be given to the Army in the 1980s but only without the gun. As a reconnaissance aircraft which is a ridiculous prospect. The Air Force hierarchy is really fickle when it comes to this aircraft, the pilots and maintenance Crews love it, but the brass is like if we can't have it nobody can even though we don't want it. Something really wrong with those people.

  4. The Marine was wondering where it would fly out of to perform combat operations in yemen. Just a reminder it can do in Flight refueling and fly almost 3,000 miles as well as being able to land in somebody's driveway. They're designed to land just about anywhere to include isolated roads. As long as the pilot has a piss bag and a bagged lunch he'll be able to get there and back successfully. It's possible some of the video footage was done in the Training Areas outside of Davis Monthan AFB in Arizona as well as Luke AFB. Big planet.

  9. I'd like to point out at 7 Minutes 37 seconds as you see the under view of the aircraft you'll notice the oblong darkened painted area beneath the cockpit. This is done to cause confusion during a dog fight to make it confusing if the airplane is turning towards you or away from you cuz it looks like a canopy when seen from below. The Canadians did this first and apparently the Americans followed afterwards.
