As a black man who used to live in Japan, you're wrong. I was treated very kindly. Just learn the language and find a nice Christian church if you can. That's what I did when I was going to school and teaching English there and I had a great time. Japan Kingdom Church in Tokyo has a lot of Blackanese/Blasian mixed families, and you'll be treated as an equal there. Godspeed.

@OathMeals Even without a church, I was respected among everyday Japanese people and Buddhists. Even the Happy Science folks were cool. Joining a church isn't necessary but Japan Kingdom Church definitely helps. Joining a church is a good idea even in your own homeland if it's a biblical church.

@Healingson Yeah, Japanese society in general will treat you with respect as long as you carry yourself respectfully. Joining a church is just icing on the cake. It's good to join a church no matter where you are, whether Japan, Canada, Belize, Zambia; doesn't matter.

@RUHappyATM Yeah, I left during the pandemic. Japan's not that cool anymore. I could go back and stay permanently with my Japanese skills and my Bachelor degree but I get more pay here in the states. Also, almost all the food there has soy in it and that just lowers testosterone. No wonder Japanese men just stay in their room and watch cartoons all day...

No, it only prioritizes Yamato. It doesn't care about Ainu, Ryukyu, Kakyou, or Zainichi at all. Japan can either change voluntarily like Singapore did or change by force once China and Russia invade (again). Japan will not be as strong and young as it was last time...

@museli_addict Japan doesn't have the population growth or per capita GDP of the Arab states so it doesn't have that option. It needs to offer citizenship but have stricter civil laws, like Singapore does.

@geofflepper3207 Yasuke, the black samurai, was a Christian. He was respected and admired because he was a Christian. I am not preaching at all; I'm just stating the facts. The Judeochristian system of ethics makes you immune to the challenges of living in Japan. Every successful black person I know of in Japan is successful because they fear God and keep the commandments. This is purely pragmatic utilitarianism.

Voiceofagodtwo Yasuke was a devout Christian actually. There are even images of him from the 16th century wearing a cross around his neck. He wasn't "taken" in an involuntary sense, he voluntarily went to Japan with the Portuguese missionaries as a bodyguard. I minored in Japanese language and history at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan.

@stxfdt1240 This isn't about validation. This is about strategic influence. Japan is just a small piece on a much larger geopolitical chessboard. If that chessboard is positioned properly, the entire world will benefit. If it isn't, that just creates more problems for the sustainment of the current global order. Japan's position on the First Island Chain has been pivotal in facilitating international trade and maintaining peace in the Pacific (and globally). You should read some Henry Kessinger or Zbigniew Brzezinski. Realpolitik has nothing to do at all with validation.

@ellanenish5999 It's not about Jewish culture, it's about Abraham. 3,600 years ago was when Moses and his army of desert rangers left Egypt. But Abraham was promised all the land from the Nile basin to the Euphrates basin 4,000 years ago. So even if it's a meme, you weren't too far off.

@RobPires It's not nonsensical at all. In fact, it's backed by both archeological and DNA evidence. Ashkenazi Jews carry 40% of the DNA of the Sumerians and Hebrew Egyptians who used to rule that region. At the same time though, Arab Assyrians carry the DNA of Jewish converts from the Achaemenid Empire. So, both sides are actually right.

@kageyamareijikun Singapore is still cleaner, wealthier, safer, and more diverse than Japan. A little political friction is nothing compared to being a sitting duck in between Russia and China.

@vilgothogberg4108 They will have no nation, people, or choice if they don't boost their population. A weak economy creates a weak military and Russia and China would love to take them while they're weak. China especially is full of millions of military-age men who would love to do to Japan what Japan did to Nanking. If Japan is too poor to support its USMC bases, the US will abandon it like it did Afghanistan and Vietnam. It can't just rely on the US. Japan can either change voluntarily or change by force. Either way, a sacrifice will have to be made. There are no perfect solutions, only tradeoffs.

@FlanPoirot Yeah it doesn't make it ok but knowing that history helps foster compassion, I think. Much like the European empires, I was a bully as a child, just on a much smaller scale. I'd pick on others because my dad would abuse me at home. My own aggression was fueled by a fragile, undernourished ego. If I had the same power and wealth as someone like King Leopold, I would've likely been just as destructive and imperialistic as he was. But yeah, I do agree there is a hypocrisy about the whole immigration thing. Even now, European corporations extract coltan, cocoa, gold, uranium, lithium, copper, oil, and other raw materials from Africa. It's only expected that those raw materials will have human resources tagging along as well. And France still controls the monetary policy of its West African subjects and has overseas territories so the empires never really ended. But that's ok though, people willl continue to speak against immigration and life will still go on.

Arabian Peninsula is Arab lands, not Assyria. Assyria was originally Sumerian. Arabs and Ashkenazim are both not indigenous to Assyria.

@theanarchist4312 You're right about the Temple Mount but Shia scholars believe that Mahdi won't awaken until the Jihad of Jerusalem. Sunnis may have a different interpretation.

@rizkyadiyanto7922 Messianic Jews say it's Yeshua (Jesus). Talmudists have suggested many different possible candidates over the centuries but they don't really know. The same can be said for the Muslims and their Mahdi.

@synthdream Japan doesn't have a choice. They've already changed their immigration law. It's entirely out of their hands at this point. They know that the weaker their economy is, the weaker their military will be and the more likely Russia and China will invade them again.

@martingregory6993 Chinese immigrants would do Japan no good at all for the most part. But as a black man who has lived in Japan myself, I agree; Africans and Arabs are not a good cultural fit, the way Japan is now. This is especially true for Muslims. Japan's laws will have to be as strict as Singapore's. And even then, Japan would do best by only accepting mass immigration from Buddhist nations like Myanmar, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. A small minority of Christian refugees from Malaysia and Indonesia might be beneficial too. Singapore does something similar, and it's worked well for their economy and public security.

@martingregory6993 Yasuke did pretty well in Japan as an African; he even became a samurai. But he was an African Christian, not a Muslim. I think the religious distinction is important. India allows different immigrants based on religion so Japan could benefit from a fusion of India's religion-based and Singapore's ethnicity-based immigration models.

@martingregory6993 I'm American but that's irrelevant. I don't support mass immigration of any kind. I think Japan would benefit from an immigration model like Singapore, mostly selecting from Buddhist majority refugees and giving them a path to citizenship. But Japan needs stricter laws against adult content and overwork first.

@user-jt3dw6vv4x You weren't listening. The journalist clearly says that the workers seek refuge from the conflict in Myanmar. That makes them refugees. The Japanese government is allowing them to renew their work visas indefinitely due to the conflict.

@RobPires It's not about what happened thousands of years ago. It's about the reality right now. The reality right now is that Ashkenazi Israelis and Arab Palestinians both have the same DNA as ancient Hebrews. The only difference is that they both practice a different religion from their ancient Hebrew Egyptian ancestors.

They just weaponize different religions now. Just as bows and arrows have been replaced with guns and drones, Baal and Amun-ra have been replaced with Allah and Metatron.

Japan's infrastructure throughout Tokyo and Kyoto has the US Army Corps of Engineers written on it. I used to live in Japan. Notice I said, "it needs to become like SINGAPORE", not Europe.

@FlanPoirot Europe didn't really decide to do anything honestly. They were just doing to the world what the Roman Empire did to them. Imperialism was an endless cycle of trauma and abuse; a positive feedback loop of unconscious conquest. Developed nations just export their violence to developing nations. But at least now we have global trade now so that's the best we could do from a bad situation.

@toyoashihara6242 Japanese writing system is based on Chinese. You're not special. Your culture won't be "ruined". Singapore is richer than Japan and has a higher per capita GDP because they use English as their lingua franca. English also made Hong Kong a financial services juggernaut prior to 2020. When I taught English in Japan, all my students had not only a boost in their career prospects but a boost in their confidence as well. Japanese children deserve a future in which they can participate globally.

@ I can tell you've never even been to Japan. They didn't even have working sewage systems until the US Army Corps of Engineers built them. There's still a US Army symbol on all the manholes in Tokyo. The US also gave Japan $25 Billion adjusted for inflation after the war, and they flushed it down the toilet. All of Japan's cars, computers, and electronics were invented by the US. Japan invented nothing and even then, they abandoned their manufacturing in favor of games and cartoons. The US gave Japan everything they needed to succeed.

@ I don't doubt that, but they can't innovate. China's technology is advanced too. Immigrants, like Nikola Tesla and Steve Jobs, have contributed the most to America's innovation, along with a strong military. Japan has none of these things.

Singapore has a higher pre capita GDP, higher HDI, higher PPP, less pollution (especially considering they're still trying to clean up Fukushima Daichi), higher birth rate, greater ethnic diversity, greater global competitiveness, more tech startups, and greater percentage of the military-age male population in the armed forces. Even Singapore's life expectancy is nearly the same as Japan. By this rate, China and Russia will inevitably do to Japan what Japan did to them. If things don't change, Japan will be the future Tibet or Ukraine. China and Russia will not stop after they take the Kurils and the Senkaku Islands.
