Leaders like Harriet Tubman and Fredrick Dougles liberated us physically. Leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. and Ella Baker liberated us legally. The only thing we need now is to liberate ourselves spiritually. The only way to do that is to keep the commandments.✝ “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” - Galatians 5:1

@thulyblu5486 You're reading mistranslations. Read the KJV, Douay-Rheims, or Orthodox Study Bible. Those are the official translations from the three major denominations. Slavery is a sin in the Bible. The Bible is the only pro-black sacred book. "He that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.” - Exodus 21:16 "I am black and beautiful" - Song of Solomon 1:5 "Moses married an Ethiopian" - Numbers 12:1

@thulyblu5486 You have to read all of Leviticus. Don't just cherrypick. Leviticus 19:34: "The stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt". Exodus 21 applies to non-Hebrews in Israel as well, in accordance with Leviticus 19:34. Song of Solomon 1:5 can still be applied generally, in accordance with 2 Timothy 3:16. Numbers 12:1 just illustrates my point that the bible is pro-black, as God gave an Ethiopian to Moses as a wife and struck an Egyptian Hebrew with leprosy for speaking out against her. The bible is pro-black and anti-slavery. It's not my own preferred version that matters but what matters is if it aligns with the original Hebrew. The word "slave" is only used once in the entire Bible, in Jeremiah. You can cross reference with other languages like the Greek Septuagint and Aramaic Peshitta and you'll find the same truth: slavery is a sin.
