@jamesgornall5731 I strongly think that's because they're not fully related. It might just be epigenetics but Virgina's entire morphology is different from her "father". She has none of his facial phenotypes. The mom died knowing that she was conceived outside the marriage. I wouldn't be surprised if her sisters knew she wasn't really one of them. I bet even her pheromones are different.

@EasrterRising1fan Yeah, epigenetics is unlikely considered that both parents also have brown hair while her hair is black. Two epigenetic phenotypes being dormant in both parents but present in the offspring is extremely rare and only occurs via random mutation.
