  31.  @adb012  1. Having compassion and establishing compassion as a good thing aren't the same. 2. Thank you for admitting that the Bible does not command the burning of witches. 3. Black and Semitic aren't mutually exclusive. The Israelites came out of Egypt and Egypt is in Africa. Half of the Israelites were Ethiopian: "I am BLACK and beautiful." - Queen of Sheba, Song of Solomon 1:5 "Moses' wife, Sephora, was ETHIOPIAN" - Numbers 12:1 "You are as the ETHIOPIANS, children of Israel." - Amos 9:7 "Taharqa, King of KUSH EMPIRE, has come to make war with Assyria, and defend Israel" - 2 Kings 19:9 Archeological evidence for Exodus is actually vast and ubiquitous. Moses' Egyptian name is Ahmosis. The Medianites are called the Medjay in Egyptian also. Ahmose-Nefertari is the Egyptian name for Sephora, the Ethiopian Medjay that Moses married. Statues of them as well as their mummified bodies can easily be found with a simple google search. Der El Medina in Egypt holds most of the archeological evidence for them. The snake that turned into a rod in Exodus is from a species of African snakes called a Twig Snake. The plagues of Egypt were caused by the eruption of the Santorini Volcano and the parting of the Red Sea was caused by tectonic subduction. There's even an island from that event still in the midst of the Red Sea called Jebel Altair. Europeans, with their magical thinking, misinterpreted these anomalies as something fanciful. God's power is a bit more grounded and scientific. It's nothing like in the whitewashed Hollywood movies. So Archeological, Zoological, and Paleoclimatological evidence supports all the historical events recorded in Exodus. As for the slaying of the Midianites, God punished Moses for his war crimes and crimes against humanity. He disobeyed God. God slew Moses and buried him while he was still healthy in Deuteronomy and made it so that Moses couldn't see the promised land. This is why Joshua took over. "He is his money" means that the servant's freedom is his payment. A hired servant is not the property of anyone. That same book says that slavers should be punished with the death penalty: "He that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.” - Exodus 21:16 Again, having strangers as hired servants and passing them down the generations is not slavery, The Bible says to treat strangers as equals also. “But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.” - Leviticus 19:34 The New Testament is talking about servants, not slaves. It commands masters to treat their servants the same way. Yes, the Bible tells masters to obey their servants as well. “And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.” - Ephesians 6:9 You need to stop cherry-picking and read the ENTIRE bible. What you're doing is called an insufficient evidence fallacy. But I don't blame you. I used to do the same thing back when I was a Darwinist and an Atheist.

  34.  @tjblues01  Stoning is good enough only if it also includes the verse where THE MESSIAH SAVED A WOMAN FROM BEING STONED. If Jesus didn't end the death penalty and give his life for ours, Christian nations like UK, Denmark, and Zambia would still have the death penalty. The Messiah abolished the death penalty, both legally and spiritually. "They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? He lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. Jesus said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." - John 8:4-11 "Our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel" - 2 Timothy 1:10 Confucius said "love thy neighbor as thyself"? Did he also say it before Moses' scribes recorded the commandment nearly 4000 years ago? If Confucius ever said "love thy neighbour as thyself" then he's just presupposing a Jewish law that predated him by over 3000 years. So he's a copycat and he lacks the objective authority of God. But Confucius didn't actually say that so you're either lying or misinformed.
