  11. I agree with Mr Bremmer, regardless of local developments two things seem evident. 1. This war has been decided, Russia has lost, Ukraine will never accept it's rule and relations have been poisoned permanently. 2. The USA's power is declining and Russia will probably be dismembered, Europe will rearm and dominate the Western parts of it and China may dominate the Eastern parts, Europe and China will be the big winners.

The creation of wealth for it own sake is no end in itself but only a means to an end and hedonistic pleasure is fleeting and inevitably boring and self defeating, no, the only activities that humans consistently seek are the search for knowledge and the creation of beauty. Unless of course our new techno overlords aren't human, in which case we'd better make sure we're unobtrusive and especially not an inconvenience to them.

  23. You need to read up on Buddhism and Schopenhauer (libraries are free) the root of all unhappiness is not having stuff but wanting to have stuff, because stuff only satisfies temporarily until you want other stuff- Treat the disease not the symptom.
