Hitler forbade it being called "bumblebee" see kids I told you he was a mean old killjoy.
77
Nothing called the Schwerer Wehrmachtschlepper could be boring.
27
@TheTomasio1975 You know who else was Austrian?
20
So we're not going to mention that in April 1945 the Allies had total air supremacy and ground attack aircraft ranged the battlefield at will?
12
@colbunkmust Exactly, it may even arouse protective instincts in the enemy then blammo! a viper in their bosom.
12
Rommel had no appreciation for the difficulties of logistics, his interests were strictly in the tactical so its a nay from me.
12
"how many different tracked antitank vehicles did the Germans have?" Yes.
9
@reclusiarchgrimaldus1269 It's only the extremists and malcontents on both ends of the political spectrum that don't support Ukraine.
6
@heikki7949 😅
5
You'll have to lock it to stop the kids playing with it and breaking it.
5
In the book he explains that at the front there was no need for Nazi propaganda like for the general population, soldiers were "free" to speak their minds because they were in it to the end anyway.
5
@avelus5984 Where did I imply that? Rommel is generally viewed as "a good Nazi" because his hands were relatively clean, similarly Yamamoto had the "luck" to die honourably in action. I'm not judging either man in fact I'm agreeing that nothing is black and white as far as history is concerned.
5
Casablanca and Yalta, there was to be no terms no way out but death or victory.
4
@charleslathrop9743 "You know... the Communists and Nazis were just different flavors of Socialist right?" "Nazi is an acronym. It stands for National Socialist German Workers Party." This is one of those garbage myths spouted by the alt-right, Hitler just usurped the leadership of the tiny embryonic NASDAP and used it as a vehicle for his plans. The philosophy of the Nazism- family nationalism classicism theism stood in stark contrast to Socialism- community modernism internationalism atheism etc.
4
Oh the Russian military is going to get "donations" all right. 😆
3
@hoppeltrottel7484 Wunderwaffen? they shoud've been called Woodwaffen as y'know.... they were mostly made out of wood at the end. 😂
3
Its like when Hitler announced "The war in the east has proceeded not necessarily to our advantage". 🤣
3
Typical German efficiency.
3
@MajorJimPlays Indeed, the corruption and inefficiency of supply logistics and the mutual fear and distrust between units leading to an overall lack of co-ordination during operations, also over 50% of the personnel are young conscripts of doubtful quality.
3
They'll make fine targets for NLAW's.
3
My understanding is there never was a serious ambition to invade the UK, Hitler assumed the British would sue for peace and he could get back to the main game- Barbarossa, he was dismayed when Churchill became PM and rebuffed German offers (made through Hess).
3
So you blamed the kids instead of the corrupt politicians and system. 😂
3
@avelus5984 Well it was easier for Rommel and Yamamoto there wasn't many innocent civilians in the desert or ocean to complicate matters.
3
But then you'll be too old for it.
2
THE PANZER GENERAL!
2
A concrete panzer. 🤔 Immune to magnetic mines, easily patched up in the field.
2
I use that tactic in Civilisation if I want to obstruct an attack by another Civ that I'm not at war with on a 3rd party.
2
Time to finally settle the question. Doesn't settle the question.😑
2
And there are also accounts of conscripts who show up with their own equipment, have it confiscated for "redistribution."
2
Damn, all got was a lousy pair of socks.
2
Underrated comment. 😆
2
Great fellas, could you do more on light armoured reconnaissance vehicles.
2
That would be the dead ones.
2
Or drunkenness.
2
The reasons those videos are underrated is they are very erudite and perhaps would be better suited to a book to really get your teeth into, most people just want panzers panzers panzers.
2
Plus ca change. 😅
2
Of course they could work it out, they're not stupid.
2
@MilitaryHistoryVisualized I recently saw some footage of a number of Russian tanks in Ukraine all with their turrets blown off, I saw an unrelated video about how the Russian tanks had self loading mechanisms that left the ammo vulnerable to ignition when receiving any penetrating hit which would result in a catastrophic explosion leading to the turret being blown off, could this be the reason? The Abrams by contrast is loaded by hand with the ammo kept in an explosive proof compartment, perhaps an idea for a future show.
2
@andrewguest6941 Love hearing actual eyewitness accounts. 👍
2
@nanda erdhani Why do you even bother watching these videos?
1
Bah you guys do all the work and give us a poll of 5 to choose from.
1
@calessel3139 The Brummbar?
1
@calessel3139 Okay thanks.👍
1
Russians don't work. They pretend to work and their employers pretend to pay them.
1
Not really, the AFD like all fascists are collaborators with Russia and traitors to Europe, they should be interned. And the Greens are simply pro recycling. 😁
1
@floriangeyer3454 Serbia and Afghanistan started the wars you traitor.
1
The 88 was virtually a cheat code. 😆
1
@fg-pv5ht Yes you are correct, like large unit movements in the final scene. So they often occurred but horrendous mistakes did happen like "the Devils own" light armoured regiment which Mark Felton did a feature on.
1
@Finkeren I'm thinking more about the final scene.
1
@marlarki5280 Wars are not fought by armies but by societies so the Russian army will reflect their society, backward repressive inefficient and thoroughly corrupt and rotten to the core.
