  1. @Database The current proto seems to be; making your own email server for email service, and using thunderbird to prevent beacon attacks and other malicious stuff from opening itself up in the background. Otherwise you may want to consider only sending and receiving emails that have the same server in other words the same thing after the @ symbol in the email address so if it's @gmail... to @gmail... less entities can see it than if it were going from @gmail... to @proton... So you may want to have a few mainstream email options on top of your private email server for limited purposes.

  2. I don't think you noticed; back then in 2009 it was called the 'air-gap model' the term Browser Isolation didn't exist and didn't really even pop up in marketing until 2017, after Rob, by that time they could have easily high-jacked it from the Brax man.
