That was really insightful, actually.

BLM has no place in Japan. Americans need to stop thinking their problems are the whole world's problem. It's an American issue, not a Japanese one and it shouldn't be either.

@xxdarkslayerlord1922 Hahaha. Based.

The man at 9:28 is a bit delusional. I totally get why they think immigration could help with the labor shortage, but this creates longterm problems like we see in Europe. If there's anything the continent has shown us over the last 30 years, it's that some cultures don't mix with each other. I think that became especially clear during the 2015 refugee crisis. Multiculturalism is just a failed concept by nature. And the last thing you would want is making Japan like the terrible crime-rampaged city of New York. He may think the influence of Japanese people will prevent problem areas from forming, but that's just wishful thinking. The Swedes thought the exact same thing and they've really gotten the short end of the stick with so many segregated neighborhoods. Europe, Canada and the US have known immigration for eons now, the latter two were already immigration nations since day one. Japan doesn't have a history like that and are utterly unprepared and unsuited to become a multicultural country. They would lose their unique culture through demographic shifts alone and that is never a good thing. I'm not saying there should be zero immigration but solving the declining birthrate by replacing them with immigrants is not the answer.

Exactly. That black woman was just playing the victim mentality. She didn't experience that because she was black, she experienced it because she was a foreigner. Plenty of white foreigners in Japan had the same experience. She is just trying to make it all about skin color again and it's infuriating.
5
I think the exact same thing. Europe thought the exact same way before the guestworkers arrived in the masses. People were tolerant, open, welcoming. They didn't know any better. I wasn't against multiculturalism or mass immigration until I saw for myself all the damage it did and is doing. I thought Japan was more level-headed and would learn from the mistakes of other people. I cross my fingers they will never embrace multiculturalism.
5
@matiasdelgado7011 Then don't go. Simple enough.
4
spaks Maybe Chinese and Korean immigrants. Certainly not muslims.
3
@fairyoforbit If you move to a different country, especially one as homogeneous as Japan, you do so with all the risks involved. Japan isn't very well adapted to foreigners so you're gonna stick out. This isn't just black people, it's everyone who doesn't look Asian. You must learn how to live with it or leave. But that black woman in the video who tries to bring America's problems to Japan as if they're supposed to care obviously picked the wrong country to live in. She needs to stop thinking America's problems are everyone's problems.
3
This seems off. I've read multiple studies that an overwhelming majority of Japanese have unfavorable views of China and South Korea. But I feel these numbers aren't reflected in the interviews.
3
And what kind of policy do older people support that harms the younger generation?
3
@xYooSu How many black people were shot dead in Japan by police?
2
@xYooSu These are the numbers. You already accepted it. I did it for you. There's nothing you can do.
2
Diversity definitely changes culture. Culture and demographics are intertwined. Change one, you change the other. Immigration leads to diversity and diversity leads to a change in culture. Japan doesn't need this.
2
@MegumiHayashida There are actually 4 races within the human species. Saying there's only one human race is biologically incorrect.
2
Let's see if they still say the same once Japan reaches the same level of immigration and multiculturalism as Europe.
2
@Kosorou Gaming Studio Archives Quit your dumb self-pity.
2
Don't come to Japan.
1
If you bring in too many foreigners, sooner or later the country's culture and identity will change. Change and immigration go hand in hand. Japan should stay homogeneous and the immigrant population should never exceed more than 5 percent.
1
@Jotaro97 They don't belong in a civilised country like Japan anyway.
1
Muslims really do not belong in Japan. We've seen the damage it has done in London, Paris and Berlin. Japan doesn't want or need that.
1
@xfirefox_x Saudi Arabia is a social mess and has never been invaded by the USA. It's because of their culture and religion the country is such a pile of dung. Stop blaming your issues on the west.
1
@mubaraksenju7521 And then you woke up. Most Japanese don't care about islam.
1
Islam creates problems wherever it goes. It doesn't belong in Japan.
1
@Samuelrodrigues_ It's because of your attitude and how you behave in islam.
1
@BigSmoke-lc6xv Someone with your attitude especially doesn't belong in Japan. I hope from the summer they will reinstate the shelved immigration bill that makes it more difficult for people like you to stay in Japan.
1
Cool story. Neither islam nor muslims belong in Japan.
1
@takeshikovach5165 I'm not an American, you fool.
1
@yoojintaeminsxox9323 You're a little slow to the party, aren't you?
1
Japan should NOT take Germany's path. Just look at you. You may say you don't feel bad for being a German but that is not portrayed in German society. You people bring up Nazi Germany even outside of class every single day for anything you do. If someone has a dissenting opinion, they're a Nazi. If someone didn't wear a mask during covid, they're a Nazi. If someone wants less immigrants or refugees, they're a Nazi. If someone calls a spade a spade during an islamic terrorist act, they're a Nazi. You people literally cannot shut up about it and that is the opposite extreme of what Japan is doing. Let the past be the past. Stop bringing it up every 5 minutes.
1
Japan doesn't need to become mixed. How dare you enter Japan and demand it becomes a more mixed country? Why do you move to a country just to change it to your liking? If you want to live in a multicultural country, go to a country that's already multicultural. Japan doesn't need to change its identity. I genuinely hope sooner or later the authorities will throw you out.
1
Get out of Japan.
1
@denisenova7494 You are absolutely pathetic.
1
@denisenova7494 You sicken me.
1
@denisenova7494 I can just tell you're developmentally disabled.
1
@denisenova7494 Who let you out of your cage again?
1
@denisenova7494 You're pathetic.
1
@denisenova7494 I'm glad people like you never have kids. The last thing we need is more people like you on this planet.
1
@comradekenobi6908 Why don't they go to Saudi Arabia where the cultures are similar and differences far and few in between?
1
@comradekenobi6908 Good. Keep going to those places instead of Europe.
1
@comradekenobi6908 Every last one of them.
1
@comradekenobi6908 Don't you "ok" me.
1
@comradekenobi6908 Be quiet.
1
@comradekenobi6908 Give me your address.
1
@CaptnCool9000 Be quiet.
1
@CaptnCool9000 Yes.
1
@theexotic2592 Don't ever come to Japan. Your kind doesn't belong there.
1
You still don't belong there.
1
No immigration from any African or islamic country. They will never adapt to Japanese culture.
1
While I agree with your point, inundating the Japanese with WW2 guilt is not the way to go. WW2 guilt still runs deep in German society and they are making awful political decision because of it. It is part of the reason why they opened their borders to a million Arabs that destroyed social cohesion and now they silence any kind of dissident within the country that is starting to look more like Orwell's 1984. To push guilt on to a people or entire nation has never lead to anything good or productive. Raising awareness, yes. Enforcing a guilt-trip? Absolutely not.
1
Or just accept Japan is not for you.
1
@prik1349 Cool story. We still don't want you here.
1
There are even Brazilian schools in Japan. Like, why? You're in Japan, going to an all Brazilian school is a form of segregation. You shouldn't be in Japan if you're going to do that.
1
@AJ-iu6nw They're really not. Some are, most have a nose like a goddamn humpback.
1
Islam never made any country more safe or prosperous.
1
I hope they never change the law. Single citizenship allows for better integration. Dual citizenship shows a reluctance to truly integrate so I'm happy they have this law.
