@nippolitica You will never be Japanese. Even if you receive ''permanent'' residency, you can still lose it if you commit a felony. Ethnicity is the quality or fact of belonging to a population group or subgroup made up of people who share a common cultural background or descent. Japanese is most definitely an ethnicity. Don't be ridiculous.

You claimed Japanese is not an ethnicity, this is inherently incorrect and a quick search on that matter will do you good. Ethnicity refers to a person's shared cultural, linguistic, or ancestral traits that distinguish them as a particular group within a larger society. It often involves common customs, traditions, language, and historical experiences that shape a sense of identity and belonging. Culture and traditions are a set of ideas, something every country possesses. Language and historical experience seem pretty axiomatic. It literally isn't possible for a demographic (especially one of more than 120 million) to not be an ethnicity. Don't try to school me on this, kid. I know my stuff.

@nippolitica You apparently missed the part where I said you're not talking to someone you can manipulate. You're not 40 and you haven't spent your adult like in Japan. Your Ainu-Ryuukyuu argument is absolutely groundless. For one, even the highest estimate of the Ainu population stands at roughly twohundred thousand with the Ryuukyuu staying below the 2 million mark. That's on a population of more than 120 million people. And the near-total assimilation of the Ainu into Japanese society has resulted in many individuals of Ainu descent having no knowledge of their ancestry. And Ryukyuans aren't even recognized as a minority group in Japan since Japanese authorities consider them a subgroup of the Japanese people and are considered an ethnolinguistic group. You know what that means? Two different groups having so much in common, they're essentially recognized as the same thing. This isn't comparable to countries like Germany or France who imported millions of people from non-western countries with vastly different cultures and perspectives on women's rights, gender or ethnic minorities, religion, education, economy, healthcare and the list goes on. Plus, 98 per cent of Japanese people are considered to be from the Yamato people. One more time, this is NOT comparible to meltingpots like Germany, France or the UK.

@gabbar51ngh How about you cope that the UK passed their borders and immigration bill. Cope that Italy, Finland and Sweden have the most right-wing government in eons. Cope that Greece closed their borders. Cope that Spain had a rightwing landslide. Cope that Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Bulgaria and Poland are becoming even more strict on immigration. And there is nothing you can do about it.

@nippolitica It's not different at all. Both of them come with the same premise and conclusion. A foreign population within a country is growing while the native population is declining. You can give it any lable you want, it doesn't change the outcome. It also doesn't change the fact that both of them are happening when you look at western countries. Take a look at demographic statistics from the 70s and today. If you don't see a clear difference between the two, you're a textbook definition of the Ostrich effect.

@nippolitica Give it a break, child. I'm so tired of your manipulative mantra. If you go back far enough in history, everyone is an immigrant. But that's flawed reasoning. A certain culture with a community of specific values has been built up. If you are going to break through this with mass immigration, legal or illegal, without asking the prevailing cultural community for permission, or by flawlessly integrating the newcomers, then you are asking for trouble.
