  11.  @mark.lawrence  Well some people can comfortably afford to avoid cheaper outlets and thereby sneer at those who do from their overstuffed armchairs. As my wise old grandmother used to say, "But for the grace of God there go I," and "Pride comes before a fall." Affordability is a product of one's circumstances and Wetherspoons have reached out to those without luxury.

  17. I have been in a few and liked them, although where I live they are called Wetherspoons, not Weatherspoons. Maybe it's a competing or copycat brand?

  18. The one I go to is called Wetherspoons, not Weatherspoons. Maybe it's a different or copycat company where I live in Northern Ireland where Brexit is stopping us getting UK beer supplies.

  19. I am sure some venues are more worth keeping on than others. It's trial and error. At least Wetherspoons is ready to try opening new places in all sorts of places which is great. Can't expect them all to be 100% successful, just as with all retail and hospitality venues.

  22. The only problem with Wetherspoons branding is people not knowing how to spell Wetherspoons correctly. Maybe they should have kept the name to just two syllables so people could manage. Whether the weather be good, or whether the weather be bad.... !

  23. Well I guess there would be less mess with frozen and pre-packed food on the menu, so not as much to clean up where real chef preparation and cookery and bakery is actually taking place.
