  1. My mother and I had to fly out of a London airport back to Northern Ireland and I decided to visit the faith room. It was filled with Muslim men leaving their shoes outside and anyone of another faith were simply prohibited from doing so by the sheer crush of Muslims inside. If felt like a takeover bid. My mother decided to go in after me and came quickly out again saying she was very intimidated by all the men inside and the overwhelming number of them. Not long after that I visited an Interdenominational Christian Chapel in a Belfast hospital where I was being treated which has services by the main church denominations of Northern Ireland and to my surprise a Muslim woman came in and very purposely positioned herself on the floor at an angle away from the Communion Table facing a corner which was obviously the direction of prayer towards Mecca. It was like staking out territory.

  3. Very clear and succinct summation. I lived in Tel-Aviv/Jaffa from 1991-2002 as a foreign chef working initially for a Church of England Pilgrims' Hospice in Jaffa & then my six final years in the prestigious Hilton Tel-Aviv feeding the rich & famous including Bibi & Blair during a round of talks in the 1990's (under strict security!). Those were 10 happy years. I remember at the beginning that Arab workers came to work from the West Bank & Gaza, but that ceased after successive terror attacks. As they say, You don't bite the hand that feeds you! The Arabs' opposition to Israel along with Islamist ideology has hijacked peace. My sister worked in a kibbutz for a summer season near Gaza too. I'm back in the UK now. But the uprising against Israel on every level is now unprecedented along with misinformation and history revisionism. Makes a change to hear a fair voice on Israel. 🤍

  4. Maybe newspapers and media do not react to or report on gossip circulating unless it has some ring of truth to it. Othherwise the media circus could speculate on absolutely anything. 🙃

  5. ​ @H-nx8wr  What about the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition? The Jews were expelled from Spain in 1492 unless they converted to Christianity. The Jews fared far worse in the Christian countries than even the discrimination meted out to them in the Islamic countries.

  6.  @H-nx8wr  I do agree that Jews often contributed and helped in Christian societies despite being often maligned too, even within the theology of the churches where they were deemed as "Christ killers" etc., (with the non-Jewish Romans from Europe who hammered the nails into His hands and feet not even implicated at all of course), yet Jews did forge many positive relations. Of course they could never count on that 100% as explusions & political changes could affect their standing at any time, as we know from them being expelled from England in 1290, the first country to do so, followed in 1492 by Spain unless they converted to Christianity from Judaism. The Islamic countries did not fuss about Jesus Christ so much, plus were also linked racially and semi-linguistically to the Jews as being fellow Semites through their common forefather Abraham, thus they had more in common together as Jews & Arabs than European Christians who viewed them moreso as something "other", although both treated them "lesser" to some degree. Some Jews were very wealthy in some siutations in the Arab countries even taking limited official positions, but as "dhimmis", or a kind of secondary status to Muslims, the Jews could never really hope for anything near equality, yet they were tolerated if they kept a low profile. This status quo worked for many centuries, even despite persecutions and discriminations, but they were never murdered as systematically in the huge numbers that the Christians did to them. (That is why most Jews despise the sign of the cross, due to ravishes of Christian pogroms.) So they fared better in Islamic countries, but only ever very quietly rose to any prominence. They were more used than abused, for the skills, expertise and advice to sultans and emirs. Only when the Jews were allotted any land of their own like the Arabs were so used to did that amiable tolerance turn to a raging torrent of hate and outrage. They will never be Islamically equal.
