I’m an honest independent and I will vote blue down the line till the Supreme Court has an official ethics code, and the mess they made is reversed.

I’m a historian and the one thing you should know with some peace of heart is that no matter how long this does take ultimately it will be beaten humanity has gradually gotten better over the centuries of our existence. We have gotten nicer, even though it might not look like it, sometimes the truth is, we are human beings today have more rights than they did in the past and little by little we’ve gotten more and more and more, we will beat this. We’re just doing one of the classic one step back before two steps forward. Whenever there is a decline, the people get enraged there’s frenzy, but eventually they unite and they do start over and usually give themselves more rights and freedoms than the generation before. But we are clearly gonna have to fight.so know that there is a optimism at the other end.

I agree

@thernly they found that some of the jobs they rehired they are difficult to fill, and were essential so in a hurry to get them back.

The danger is it doesn’t matter if it’s this election or the next one. Based on how Republicans have all backed each other without limit of what they’ve done or actions makes them a group that is intentionally in on it. Meaning that at the moment the Republicans, we see in power are all in on it. There’s a tiny handful of Republicans who are still just American citizens in politics. I don’t like this Cheney, but she is at least a real American. Cares more about the country than she does about her party. However, percent of the Republicans in power or showing that they would kill America for power.it’s not just this one election. I’m worried about it’s any election until this whole situation is fixed. And honestly, I don’t believe that attention span of the American people can sustain it long enough to fix it. This is my fear.

The judge who stopped the flights should demand Trump get them back or go to jail.

He put him in charge, and he was doing what Trump told him to do….according to Trump.

Being Mexican doesn’t give someone the right to question you in our country. Having an accent does not give anybody the right to question you or harass you and government. These are know your rights so that you don’t feel like you have to walk around with your IDs because being Mexican or having an accent might cause a police officer to harass you on the street.these are for American citizens just as much as anybody else who wants to hear this information

February 28 is a MONEY PROTEST!!!!! don’t spend for 24 hours. No gas stations, no restaurants, no stores.

Expected. He can’t go full authoritarian dictator if the judges don’t “ fall in line”.

One it’s extremely dangerous to switch a candidate in the middle, especially being so ridiculously close to an election Biden and his mental illnesses may be still dramatically better opponent as people want to save America. Harris has a problem with the fact that she’s both a woman and black. Black because no matter which party there are racists in both parties and that puts her at a loss of number, as well as there are misogynists in both parties, which also loses those numbersare still going to vote for Trump plus there’s gonna be the misogynist and the racist from the Democratic Party who will not vote for her which means that it takes away from Democrats only.

The 14th amendment states anyone born here or nationalized. It does not say anyone illegal or illegal born here. It is very clear that they are born here is the choice of words. Aside from that the Supreme Court does not have the right to rewrite the constitution their job is to interpret intent of those that’s wrote it, through words and actions of precedent . The words are very, very clear however, more clear are the actions as over all of US history from that point on every judge in the land and every law of the land approved that if you were born here, you are a citizen, no matter how you came. zero disagreements and 100% participation that the intent was if you were born on American soil, you are an American citizen. Every judge every lawyer, every prosecutor involving court for that entire duration at 100% has followed suit that that is the intent behind the statement. I look forward to hearing their argument. As they will have to prove that there was intent different of that.

And for anybody who fears that Biden is unable to do the job, guess what Harris would still take over therefore it is still they still know that so anybody who’s willing to vote for her already has her as a back up in case the guy that they would vote forpulled out. So either way is our back up of Biden meaning that what’s the point of Biden pulling out?

Yeah, but it’s one of those things where when you do enough dangerous things you know you don’t just dive into everything. Start out small and you move your way up. Here they are there made a big leap and they’re suggesting making another big leap that starts to lower the eyes of success. I feel like we can keep the odds high and still have good choices.

Since 1953, the United States has had 13 economic collapses. 12 of those economic collapses were under Republican run and controlled governments. I am 45 years old. In my entire lifetime, every single Republican president has come into office during an economic, boom and crashed the economy by the time they left office. That includes Donald Trump. The last two Republican presidents to come into office came in during a boom in our economy and crashed it in only four years. One of those was one of the worst economic collapses we’ve had since the Great Depression.

@endokuken1678 he should rot. He bankrolled Trump.

I have to admit I was pretty unhappy about the idea of Biden, stepping down as I thought it would hurt the party, but I do see a lot of zest for Harris and it does feel like we got a better shot so good on Biden.

I’m not against Republicans never have been. I don’t agree with their policies, but I’ve never considered them to be evil or horrible people. They’ve just been different people with different perspectives. Trump has changed that. Republicans are gone and they’ve turned into this party of, extreme prejudice. If you listen to their speeches, all you hear is extreme volatility, and bias towards who they considered their enemies. I think you’re a good man. I think you’re a true American and I really appreciate that you exist. Both of you.

@lisahill186 societies that have better social nets are more successful societies overall. You can look at this through world history all over it as well as present day in the world. The sides that have stronger, social nuts, people up from poverty, easier than those that don’t. Which means that that society overall becomes more financially successful. As well as public education, those societies have better public education and higher education have more successful societies. The point is this can be done all day. There is evidence that having strong safety nuts, benefit a society. An unhealthy society spreads to everybody else who can afford it. Ultimately, it is more affordable to prevent a sickness than to wait for it to be rampant before you deal with it, and all those safety nuts are actually preventions. Another side to that government that has some responsibility for the condition of their people are less likely to create worse conditions. An example in the United States, we spend more money per capita in our tax dollars than universal healthcare countries do. That is our negotiation for our costs is so out of whack due to the individualized nature of it. Aside from that the imposter numbers that have health issues like diabetes and such goes up because of their impoverished diets and the poison that we put in our food. In countries that have universal healthcare Quality of health of their people is important because they put the bill which means they don’t put poison in their food. As well as it changes the mentality of the government from not wanting medicine that keeps you sick, but treat the symptoms over finding a cure. America would save a lot more money if it had universal healthcare than what it spends right now the average person who buys healthcare would also pay less overall because their money taxes would not equal what they pay for healthcare. Meaning that it would actually benefit them as well.aside from that Americans don’t go to the hospital when they’re sick. They wait till their situation is chronic and then they go because they have a historic mentality to not go to the doctor when they’re sick of which universal healthcare countries do not share that mentality.

Every. American should be able to sue for even the suggestion of removing Americans to send them to countries to be held in prisons, especially countries that have removed civil rights as Americans are still bound by our constitution to have civil rights by our government.

I’m more ashamed of the democrat voters that didn’t vote. More people of voter age didn’t vote than voted for trump. They are continuously the same people who let our government go to shit yo begin with. All democrats in Congress can do right now is make noise, and vote no to everything, but they aren’t needed to pass anything as republicans have all three branches of government… because democrats didn’t vote. They let trump happen. Now all of us who did are still the only people in the streets trying to save this mess. My only hope is that a depression economy forces people not to be lazy and get off their asses to tax the f’kin rich and take back the government

Yeah, they’re finding out that a lot of the money is going to our poor

They’re hoping stripping him ( probably in name only) will make people spend money.

Even domestic terrorists have our same civil rights and nowhere does it allow our country to send us to a foreign prison. No, it’s not a joke at all. Doesn’t matter if they say it with a ha ha it is no longer a joke. It is a direct threat. We are being threatened by the people in our government.

Could you make me feel slightly better about the Chevron difference. It’s still real iffy and I think the issue the issue that liberals have is that it’s the most conservative court while being extremely pro Trump and clearly doing things for personal gain so the fact that they do so much to benefit themselves give themselves excessive powers hold off cases that would benefit people that they want in power. That’s where liberals are worried about thatissue.

The second you cross over into a crime it’s no longer an official act. It’s only official within its capacity. Past that capacity it becomes unofficial, even if you say it with an official tone. Which means immunity is pointless.

Wow, decent republicans still exist. I have been pretty shocked by some of the things they have stood behind. Trump has divided the country. the country that over the last several decades has cut its violent crime rate by more than half has expanded a resurgence since the Trump administration, and you can hear it in the bases casual speak these days. The kind of casual violence talk or hate filled talk that just a decade ago would have ended the popular acceptance of a candidate is rampant. The head of the heritage foundation threatening bloodshed of liberals on television casually out of his mouth. I am so saddened by republicans over it. I used to think they were decent folks who just believed in a different view, and you win some and you lose some. But Trump tried to coup our country. He tried to use our military, went against our constitution and created false electors, made up stories to anger his base, to the point they did the unthinkable and attacked our government. It’s made me so disillusioned. I’ve been all over this country numbers of times. I have met people from every single state except for Alaska. Most people are decent. Every group of every genre of everything there is a very small percentage that sucks. It’s not specific to a political party or religion or race. Just happens to be percentage of people who aren’t that great but most people are. And when I see how much hate it being filled in the hearts of an entire party of people that they’re falling behind such an evil man breaks my heart. This is our America. This is what’s happening to it. I think Trump is the cause. I think it’s out though so I don’t think casually just removing Trump is going to end it. I think he has touched on the heat in peoples hearts instead of the openness to understand each other. I think it would take a decade easily to fix this mess and that can only happen if Trump is never in power again or man like him or woman like him is not in power ever again With that whole project 2025 and the fact that Republicans have joined forces so sternly against even helping the American people and things like the no gouging bill or the border bill. It makes me wonder if they can be trusted to care about America first the irony is I sound like a Democrat. But I’m a political historian who doesn’t have a party. There is a present out there that I don’t think has messed up somewhere or present out there that I don’t think has done some good but overall they’ve done my three favorite presidents only one of them is a democrat. But I have to say this may have removed Republicans from my heart for quite a while as individuals still believe most people are good.
