I had the same experience with Talking Heads. I almost bought a ticket when I was 20 to see them at their height of fame for $20 and missed the show and decades later I saw the David Byrne was gonna be playing so I was like I should go but the tickets were $200 apiece nowhere near his height of fame. Back then I could’ve gotten two tickets for 40 bucks but for me and my Mr. to go they wanted $400. I was so infuriated I couldn’t go just principal that’s ridiculous everything it takes the fun out of everything when the cost is so high. like you wanna have a good time but you spend so much money on it it just wasn’t as good because the back of your mind you’re that much more broke. It doesn’t even include if you wanna eat or drink back in the day I could’ve taken a date out spent 100 bucks and we had a great amazing night.for two. That wasn’t that long ago and for that same night it be like $600 now.

@zackkassner3374 no we’re not. We can vote in small elections which take over congress, and are the people who pick the people who actually elect the president. There are 4 presidents in recent history which didn’t get the popular vote. Aside from that the congress would reflect more what laws and regulations we want passed, and there’s also primaries. That’s where you vote who you really want, and if they aren’t on the list you write them in. The truth is, Americans don’t even understand how our government works, or what the roles of government do, and we live in an era of unlimited information, so there’s no reason right now that we don’t.

Republicans are not small government. They’re small government regulation on corporations and business, but they’re massive big government when it comes to your private life. Is the opposite for Democrats. They are high regulation for business when it comes to things like dumping your Waste if you’re company, but they’re super limited government when it comes to messing with your private life. Pick your poison. Democrats do not say God should be legal. They say there should be regulation on guns. Republicans just say there should be zero regulations on guns. Well it works out fine if there’s only five people in your town, but if there’s 5 million people in your town, guns can be an issue.I need some form of at least basic regulation.

What people don’t understand is that employers do not pay employees. Employees pay for themselves. Not only do employees pay for every single dollar that they earn with their labor. They also have to earn enough extra with that labor for the company to see their value at all. A company doesn’t hire somebody to break even. They hire somebody to make more money for themselves. Which means that the employee has to cover their own costs as well as what the extra is worth. My point is employers don’t pay for you. You pay for yourself. If a company successful enough to be at a point to have your labor, they have to negotiate a price with you that is valuable enough for you to decide it is worth it and it has to be a reasonable enough wage for them to decide that it’s worth it for them as well. Labor is a resource just like every other resource that a business requires to sell their product. The lower classes also need to make enough money in order for those companies to sell their product. As if there’s no one to buy their product their product is just as useless. Employee wages have to be reasonable, livable, and have just enough for extra to allow businesses to exist. The labor you produce creates the wages that allow them to exist at all.

Consolidation is just another word for monopoly. Unionize is probably the best solution. Find a way to consolidate beef farmers together in a group and unionize.

I only liked about a handful of presidents throughout our entire history and they’re very split up mostly between Republican and Democrat but some before that existed.my point is I do care about policy. I appears is if you actually care about our economy, because so far after every collapse since the 1950s, whenever we have one, the general population gets poorer than before it, and we have never fully recovered from any of them. That means it doesn’t matter who you are. It means it doesn’t matter what party you align with. You are just as poorer as the other party. It means that if you vote Republican, you are most likely hurting the future of your own children. And all of us countrywide are feeling distress and have been over the last 70 years because of it, and now you know why. I’m not saying vote for a democrat. I think they suck too, but it appears that 100% you will add another crashed economy if you elect a republican. 100% do far folks. It just blows my mind. I don’t care about the culture wars going on. @enigmasyndicate4262 You run a company because you gain from it. If you’re ahead enough to have employees, you reap the reward of what they produce, or you wouldn’t do it. At any point you can become them. I’ve had two companies. They were very successful. I worked all the time. I didn’t need to. I could have earned less and taken a day off here or there. I definitely earned a lot more than when I am a regular employee. After having vacation, or sick days) I realized what it does for the brain, and the recharge it provides. It can take a crappy job and make it better. It dramatically helps give a stress reliever to important things need doing in our private lives. Europe does it right. I never considered being upset at regular workers gaining a better stance at any point in my life. Not as a worker not as a person running my own business. I seldom was a step up enough for employees, but that’s whole other level, and if you are at that level you should be able to compensate your employees correctly.

@DJ_Force if they can’t afford to compensate their employees they aren’t at employee stage yet. Employee labor nit only pays for their own wages. It also creates a high enough extra to justify their expense. If they didn’t make more than they cost companies wouldn’t hire them. It’s a hard transition from employee to business owner, and it’s a hard transition from business owner to company with employees. You work your butt off till you’re set up enough to let other people do the work, and then all you’re doing is organizing. From your yacht parked in a foreign island for months on end. Or from your house that’s in the middle of nowhere that’s a mansion while you’re maids. Do your house work. You might be working, but it’s not work. Work is made behind you cleaning up your mess. Organizing from your house while somebody else does your hard laboris just keeping your books in order but guess what everybody’s gotta keep their books in order whether or not they’re actually working.

@Maxშემიწყალე the benefit of universal healthcare is it’s never free so always from taxes, but the price goes drastically down because the group that’s getting the discount is much larger so medical industries realize they make a lot of money and are willing to take that price. It’s a number game. You get more money and numbers, and therefore tries the price down. America has the most expensive healthcare in the entire world for the same service as the places that cost a lot less. The benefit of universal healthcare better than pay healthcare is that it puts in the mindset of people to seek help, which actually puts a lot less strain on the healthcare industry. The goal becomes to cure people not to keep them sick so that there’s no money to be earned and keeping them sick and ultimately it gets them out of the way of other people behind them. As in, we have a flooded healthcare system because everybody gets so sick that at some point they can’t even operate and they require public assistance, but they never got sick because they were able to do preventative or the system wouldn’t be flooded and overwhelmed. It also makes an overall healthier society that is more likely to take care of themselves, and therefore you don’t have rampant, homeless mental illness, which means the crime that is associated towards them as well as from them goes down, which is also a cost. There’s really quite a number of benefits of having universal healthcare to us society. And like I said it’s never free. The differences is that everybody has an equally, and therefore it will benefit society overall equally. Benefit society overall equally.

@theonewind the goal isn’t to not work. It’s too have the ability to work at what you want or better goals that would benefit the world and someway. Even artists make the world better. Taking care of the planet farming new technologies for more resourceful energy sources that are less damaging to things. Those are all the areas that we should be focusing our work and labor that will benefit us more and more and more as a society instead of menial tasks, a physical labor that hold us down as a species.

@DJ_Force employees are not paid by the employer. They pay for themselves. They’re labor not only has to be able to produce enough money to compensate for every penny that they earn. It also has to compensate for extra to make it worthy of a company to have the employee. they make money off of you. That’s how it actually works. Employers make money off of employees not the other way around. Employees only require fair compensation to justify them wanting to work for that employer. This is a business transaction that ultimately benefits the business. Sometimes the business decides to have robots in its place. there is a catch 22 with that as that only works for short period of time. Money is a flowing thing. In order for the rich to gain money they have to have something to sell. But if they’re selling some thing, somebody has to be able to buy it. If the people can’t buy it, they can’t sell it, which means they don’t make any money. so the more that people make the more that people can spend. That’s why in every historical society that has been successful. The middle class earned excessive amount of money. The more money that the middle-class made the more successful that society was and for their rich. Example. Basic needs is the first product. But if a society makes extra then liability to buy basic needs, they buy desirables. ables are extra jobs. Lucrative jobs that are also entertaining. Things like watching movies wearing clothes having a nice car those are extras desirables. Those are now other high paying jobs that are created because there’s extra money to be spent by the general population. Those businesses wouldn’t exist if the general population didn’t have enough to compensate for the extra to begin with. meaning that everybody who got rich off of those desirables owes their wealth to the original lower classes having extra money. Having extra money in the lower classes, not only therefore creates more jobs. It also creates more desirable jobs and it creates more wealth as those new jobs are created. Meaning more people get rich than in the original just basic needs situation. While also making more people enjoy their lives overall, including those that are, but also those that are poor. As people find joy in entertainment and quality of life. It is a win-win that societies have bottom up. Wealth trickle down has never worked in any society in all of history.

Then I think we should be able to sue the CEO and not just the company. The CEO ultimately made those decisions and if the CEO moves from one company to the other, they’re still the responsible party for their actions.
