@swampfox8461 The poll can be looked up. YouTube does not allow links. The topic is Taiwan? Britain no longer has an Empire and when we did we were bad B'stards ok? I have not offered any opinions. I thought the woke were the triggered snowflakes?

WIN/Gallup International survey asking people which country they felt was the greatest threat to world peace. According to the survey results: The US was the overwhelming choice (24% of respondents) for the country that represents the greatest threat to peace in the world today. This was followed by Pakistan (8%), China (6%), North Korea, Israel and Iran (5%). Respondents in Russia (54%), China (49%) and Bosnia (49%) were the most fearful of the US as a threat. Interestingly, Iran was seen as the biggest threat by Americans, Canadians and Brits, but Australians viewed the US as the biggest threat.

With the American withdrawal from Afghanistan and increasingly infrequent U.S. attacks in the ongoing War on Terror, civilian casualties have declined dramatically under President Joe Biden. However, monitoring groups including U.K.-based Airwars have periodically reported noncombatant deaths and injuries caused by U.S. attacks in at least Afghanistan, Somalia, Syria, and Yemen.

@swampfox8461 We have no colonies in Africa. Yes, the Chinese are investing in Africa and that may not be good but they have not started killing the leaders of nations yet, as the CIA has done in the past and the British Empire of course.

@swampfox8461 I am not a communist.

@swampfox8461 Was the report not about the threat of Chinese aircraft getting too close to Taiwan and what that signalled?

@swampfox8461 Young? I am retired! Attack me personally if you wish but it does not look good IMHO Back on topic, who is really doing the killing? While determining the exact number of civilians killed during 21 years of the U.S.-led so-called War on Terror is impossible given that the United States doesn't "do body counts" or, in many cases, adequately investigate who has been harmed by airstrikes and other attacks, the Costs of War Project at Brown University's Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs says 900,000 noncombatants have died. Other groups contend that number could be perhaps twice as high.

@swampfox8461 As The New York Times reported on November 13, 2021, a U.S. attack jet unleashed its payload on the civilian encampment. “As the smoke cleared,” the article noted, “a few people stumbled away in search of cover. Then, a jet tracking them dropped one 2,000-pound bomb, then another, killing most of the survivors.” At least seventy civilians died.

@swampfox8461 Foreign electoral interventions are attempts by governments, covertly or overtly, to influence elections in another country. Theoretical and empirical research on the effect of foreign electoral intervention had been characterized as weak overall as late as 2011; however, since then a number of such studies have been conducted.[1] One study indicated that the country intervening in most foreign elections is the United States with 81 interventions, followed by Russia (including the former Soviet Union) with 36 interventions from 1946 to 2000—an average of once in every nine competitive elections.

Why is the US interested in protecting the Republic of China?
