@henryaviation2582 You could always return to the "Why did the US invade Afghanistan" question?
2
@cynn3367 Could you not look that up for yourself? You will only dismiss any answers you get anyway data troll!
2
@henryaviation2582 Nope, Colin Powell lied to the UN about WMD in 2003. The US will never be supported by a UN nation again.
2
Was Hungary one of the 3 nations the US last declared war against? (Albania and Bulgaria the other 2?)
1
@timdusen830 Yes I have heard of Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda - your point?
1
@henryaviation2582 So why did the US invade Afghanistan?
1
@cvn6555 Yes? No?
1
@cvn6555 Now you know why no US politician dare be interviewed in the UK by BBC's Newsnight team? Emily Maitlis was playing nicely, she can be much more savage. Historically Kirsty Wark was formidable and Jeremy Paxman feasted on politicians. We the people!? Pah, you have no freedoms without effective MSM.
1
@quirk8841 So why did the US invade "innocent" Afghanistan? Are you also a blind fool?

@henryaviation2582 Colin Powell was lied to and ‘manipulated’ into supporting the invasion of Iraq, it was claimed last night. The former Secretary of State was deliberately not told that information he used to make his famous speech justifying the war was bogus, a former colleague claimed. Instead the George W Bush White House abused his good reputation to give the push for war much-needed credibility. The claims were made by Lawrence Wilkerson, Powell’s former chief of staff, in an angry and revealing interview. He spoke out after the main source for Powell’s report justifying the Iraq invasion which he presented to the UN Security Council in February 2003 admitted he made the whole thing up. Rafid Ahmed Alwan al-Janabi, or ‘Curveball’ as he was known by the CIA, said he let his imagination run wild with claims about Saddam Hussein and that he was doing it just to overthrow the regime. When he saw Powell relaying the fabricated information to the UN he was stunned.

@henryaviation2582 What I do have is a delightful afternoon playing golf with a Porton Down Scientist awarded an MBE for not finding any WMD in Iraq.

@Mary Palmer While determining the exact number of civilians killed during 21 years of the U.S.-led so-called War on Terror is impossible given that the United States doesn't "do body counts" or, in many cases, adequately investigate who has been harmed by airstrikes and other attacks, the Costs of War Project at Brown University's Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs says 900,000 noncombatants have died. Other groups contend that number could be perhaps twice as high.

@henryaviation2582 Are you gonna respond?
1
@henryaviation2582 Then run away before I tear you a new one? Which is sorta your plan anyway, given you are dismissing my claim so that you do not have to debate it?
1
@henryaviation2582 Run away Henry before I show you the facts?

@henryaviation2582 Fabricated Evidence Powell played an intercept of a conversation between Iraqi army officers about the U.N. inspections. However, when he translated what they were saying, he knowingly embellished it, turning it from evidence Iraq was complying with U.N. resolutions to evidence Iraq was violating them. This appears in Bob Woodward’s book “Plan of Attack”: Powell had decided to add his personal interpretation of the intercepts to the rehearsed script, taking them substantially further and casting them in the most negative light. … Concerning the intercept about inspecting for the possibility of “forbidden ammo,” Powell took the interpretation further: “Clean out all of the areas. … Make sure there is nothing there.” None of this was in the intercept. Here’s the conversation as Powell presented it at the U.N. The bold sections were modified by Powell: POWELL: “They’re inspecting the ammunition you have, yes.” “Yes.” “For the possibility there are forbidden ammo.” “For the possibility there is by chance forbidden ammo?” “Yes.” “And we sent you a message yesterday to clean out all of the areas, the scrap areas, the abandoned areas. Make sure there is nothing there.” Powell then explained: This is all part of a system of hiding things and moving things out of the way and making sure they have left nothing behind. According to the official State Department translation (and confirmed for me by Imad Khadduri), the Iraqi soldier merely said: “And we sent you a message to inspect the scrap areas and the abandoned areas.”

@henryaviation2582 I do not need your pompous opinion to be right! Now address the claims!
1
@henryaviation2582 Owned.
1
Saved from what?
1
@adamus1342 Did the US surrender?
1
@henryaviation2582 Can I assume that a "fact" can only be established as being so by yourself?
1
@henryaviation2582 The statements you claim only I believe were true, were extracts from articles published in reputable organisations and available online. It is puerile to suggest that I have access to classified information as you well know.
1
@henryaviation2582 I suppose the proof is in the pudding? How many UN resolutions have been sought and authorised, for US military action since 2003?
1
@henryaviation2582 "Run away Henry" would suit you better IMHO.

1
@henryaviation2582 Yes, I am sad, because reasonably intelligent folk like you choose to be pompous. I have concluded that what I supplied about Colin Powell is fact based on your criteria and suggestions. My true interest is in the truth. No more, no less.
1
@henryaviation2582 You are suggesting that a person with diagnosed Autism favours Feelings over Facts? Now you are being properly stupid. Clinically impossible. Did you not read that about me? Your pompous aura is slipping Henry, you are getting sloppy and ragged. Almost rude?
1
@cynn3367 Fair enough dude, appreciate your honesty and candid approach. The number is out of step with what I have read. I will post here if I see anything reliable.
1
@henryaviation2582 Oops, yes, this last post supports that you should not consider yourself pompous or that I should accuse you of being so.
1
@quirk8841 Thanks, really annoying that! Folk should not be able to delete posts IMHO. Stand by your words or do not post them?
1
@cvn6555 An example. What is your annual Military budget? The real one, the true cost. Does your media ensure the American people know the truth?
1
@timdusen830 Using and making WMD are not the same?
