@Chris58851 Your naivety is the only thing that upsets me. Electric engine is an invention from 19-th century. And Tesla is not the only producer of electric cars, the problem here is where to get that much electricity to power up all these cars? From coal power plants?... Reusable rockets are not new as well, I hope you remember US "Shuttle" and Russian "Buran". Right now only ~25% of SpaceX's rockets used boosters for a second time (that is if we trust reports from SpaceX, they could secretly replace all parts). This is far from really "reusable". The problem is that there is too much stress on materials during launch, so this "reusable" part only puts astronaut's lives at much greater risk. Is this an achievement? The only good part about Elon Musk is that he is a good marketologist. He can sell any garbage. Astronauts are not barbers, they are brave people who risk their lives to push our science forward. I wish them safe flights no matter what kind of spacecraft they use. Peace?

As always when westerners discover superior Russian technologies they have to pass certain stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. It seems that you are on the third stage right now.

@Chris58851 American astronauts fly to space on "Soyuz" rockets designed in USSR, which ceased to exist 30 years ago. "Soyuz" translates from Russian language as "the Union", which obviously refers to the Soviet Union. The last flight was in 9 of April 2021 with astronaut Mark T. Vande Hei, NASA. Think about it. Americans fly on a rocket named "Soviet Union"... in 2021...

@Chris58851 You have access to the internet, right? Then use it! From wikipedia: "Soyuz MS-18 is a Soyuz spaceflight that was launched on 9 April 2021 at 07:42:41 UTC.[4][7] It transported three members of the Expedition 64 crew to the International Space Station (ISS). Soyuz MS-18 is the 146th crewed flight of a Soyuz spacecraft. The crew consists of a Russian commander, a Russian flight engineer, and an American flight engineer of NASA." From defensenews: "An issue that risks damage to the F-35’s tail section if the aircraft needs to maintain supersonic speeds is not worth fixing and will instead be addressed by changing the operating parameters, the F-35 Joint Program Office told Defense News in a statement Friday. The deficiency, first reported by Defense News in 2019, means that at extremely high altitudes, the U.S. Navy’s and Marine Corps’ versions of the F-35 jet can only fly at supersonic speeds for short bursts of time before there is a risk of structural damage and loss of stealth capability. The problem may make it impossible for the Navy’s F-35C to conduct supersonic intercepts."

@Chris58851 I see... you are Elon Musk's fanboy. This crook has made so many promices like hyperloop, tesla truck, free charges and even colonization of Mars. I'm surprised that there is still someone who believes him. BTW, I've seen an interview with another American astronaut Kate Rubins, she said that she prefers to fly on reliable Soyuz instead of acting as a guinea pig for SpaceX... Of course we can. F-35 is just a money-laundering tool, while Su-75 is a real deal.

@Chris58851 If I'm not mistaken, just a few days ago news reported that Germany finished construction of its' new coal power plant "Datteln 4". I don't know how it fits in your image of Germany... But I got the idea: poor people will live near coal power plants, while rich people will ride their electric cars in "green" areas. Marvelous future! "Astronauts need to sell themselves"? This statement is too outlandish. Previously you compared astronauts to barbers, but now it looks like you try to compare them to... ahem... women with very low moral values.

@Chris58851 Covid-19 was designed and released by green energy producers, is that what you trying to say?... wink-wink!... According to a report from the Green Party of European Parliament, EU loses 904 billions euros (billion with a "B") every year because of corruption. That's a lot of wasted taxes already. And just by looking at American military budget I guess that corruption in the US is much worse.

@Chris58851 CATO institute located in Washington D.C. released results of a poll among Americans where 62% said that they are afraid to speak about their political views, 32% said that they can lose jobs if speak too much. So don't even try to touch a topic of freedom of speech in our dispute, your position on this ground is too weak.

@Chris58851 Actually it reminds me about article in Bloomberg Businessweek "When Elon Musk Tried to Destroy a Tesla Whistleblower". Good read. Almost like a detective. By official data American police kills ~1200 people every years. Lets assume that half of them are republicans and another half are democrats. As a result we get that American police kills 600 oppositioners every year. By direct order from the president of course. No doubts about that, just like there are no doubts that Putin personally orders to kill journalists (wink).
2
@Chris58851 There is no precise data, but even the most russophobic sources count less than 200 cases per year. Also by the law Russian police can't use automatic weapons, weapons with more than 10 rounds, can't use weapons against women and children.
2
@Chris58851 Are you a believer? I ask because your arguments sound very similar to "God exists, because you can't prove otherwise". I live in Russia for all 38 years of my life and I can tell you that Russian policemen are actually afraid to use their guns, because they can easily go to jail if they can't prove that their use of force was justified. Bribery is a different story. Corruption is legal in the US. Anyone can pay a sum of money to a senator to push a law that benefits you. But Americans don't call it corruption and use word "lobby" instead. Situation in Russia is far from ideal, but much better then in the US, because at least corruption is illegal. So you can see arrests for bribery even among the high-ranked officials in Russia. It's not like I hate Americans that much. I just don't understand how can you sleep well and eat your bread while knowing that at the same time your government bombs Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Iraq and a dozen more countries before that. Your grand parents at least had guts to protest against war in Vietnam. What happened to the people since then?...

@Chris58851 Healthcare as well as education is free in Russia. And by education I mean real education. This is why Russia has it's own space program, aviation, microelectronics, weapons, etc... Houses that were built by the Soviet Union in Afghanistan although simple are still in high demand there, their main advantage is toilets. I don't think that Americans have built anything there during the last 20 years. About Walmart... apparently when you buy some shoes in China for $2 and then sell them in the US for $20, you can increase your GDP by a lot. But the problem is that Walmart produces nothing. While at this moment Russia builds 20 new giant factories. It feels like GDP is just a useless number. We both know that Navalny wasn't poisoned. It's a simple logic: he looks too healthy for someone who survived something so deadly. There is a bar not far from my home in Saint-Petersburg. It's called "Blue Clam". I hope you get this reference... So it seems to me that these people are doing fine... P.S. My grandfather shot down 18 German warplanes, while he was on the verge of death from hunger and cold in blockaded city of Leningrad. His AA cannon now proudly stands in Artillery museum. There is no surprise that our worldviews are so different, given how different our past was.

@Chris58851 I'm just chatting. It's interesting to share opinions about anything with people from different parts of the world. You never know whom you can meet. Few years ago I had an interesting talk with old African-American musician. He told me a lot about voodoo and how dangerous it is... Like I said, it's interesting...

Russia is the most technologically advanced country in the world. It makes peasants from Poland mad.
2
@tyme2067 How so? F-35 belongs to first of second generation because it's subsonic. At supersonic speeds its' tail tears off.

@Chris58851 You are wrong. Check.
1
@keirfarnum6811 Yes, Russia.

Russia is ~20 years ahead in technology of any other country.
1
@GeeDaddyFlex305 At this moment Russia is building 20 giant factories. Russian economy is the second strongest in the world after China.
