  1. I would imagine there is already human genetic modification going on in many countries as there has always been scientists more interested in 'what if ' than in any morality. You only need to research the relatively recent experiments done by Germany, Japan and others (including USA) prior to and during WWII. (maybe even up to Vietnam ?) In the 70's, several American generals thought a 'limited nuclear war' in Europe was feasible, they had the weapons and wanted to try them to see what happens. It's far too easy to say no one would do something so terrible, but, it they can, they will if there isn't someone 'better' to stop them (what terrifies me when UAS is currently being run by someone who just wants money and loyalty above everything else, already proved he has no morals first time around) With CRISPR being available, it doesn't take a lot of imagination to think about what may be going on, there have been rumours going for many years around certain countries where only boys are valued and labs will give whatever sex child you want.
