I have a problem with the belief of a soul automatically assumes a belief in religion or god. They are two completely different things, you don't have to believe in some omnipresent deity to believe you have a soul. I formulated my theory when I was about 10 or 11 and haven't found anything in over 50 years to make me change my mind.

@GianniGaudino Actually, it is just about impossible to change a faith based theory (as well as studying geology, I also spent 4 years studying psychology at degree level.)

@guythat779 I remember reading an article about 35 years ago written by a doctor in a teaching hospital. He stated that majority of medical students from America's 'bible belt' actually believed men had one less rib than women because Eve was created from Adam's rib. If that doesn't tell you how dumb supposedly smart people can be I don't know what will?

@darrylbunch6929 That is something that's close to impossible even when your 'right' and everyone knows it. I have slight experience as I did once manage to get a tiny change made in curriculum, removed a totally irrelevant 5 lines which had to be approved by school boards in 50 states as 'we' took students worldwide. I forget how long it took but it was a slow process

When I was 10 or 11, I came up with a theory that everything has some kind of soul or consciousness but it takes a certain quantity to become 'human'. That's why things become extinct, to allow more humans to be born at the cost of other animals or even insects and plants. 50+ years later, no matter how childish it sounds, I haven't come up with anything better

Is there any follow up to this? Thorium was all ovetr the internet for a while but things sem to have gone very quiet about it?

Isn't it possible or even probable that they did evolve from as shallow water species to a deep water species 66 million years ago then, as you said, if it ain't broke don't fix it?

As the History Channel is still making series, maybe an update would be of interest, particularly since they have Travis Taylor on the team? When Taylor told current owner (Brandon Fugal) he had ben covertly working for US Government as part of the UAP it really looked like Fugal was going to go ballistic, the stuff not filmed (or shown on TV) was probably very interesting. Something is going on there.

I studied Geology in the mid 1970'a and 'Snowball Earth' was mentioned way back then although I totally forget any details about it I guess the 1998 theory gained more credibility?

Seems Boeing still doesn't care as long as profits are good? How about the 'alleged story' of the Boeing executive who stated it was cheaper to pay 1 million dollars for every passenger on a flight that crashed due to 'faulty design, manufacture or maintenance' than to actually recall planes to fix the problem
