@equine2020 I was teaching at a trade school and one of the 'students' was a 'tunnel rat' in Vietnam. He was totally messed up more than 30 years after the events, had not had any form of therapy or counseling which I thought terrible as he genuinely was a nice guy. One night after class he started telling me about the things he had done, hand to hand underground 'up close and personal' He also said massacres were carried out and pretty much ordered by 'generals' (not explicitly, I don't know how to describe the 'unspoken' orders?) Top bras wanted 'plausible deniability' for war crimes (same thing was done by Nazi's after WW2) The justification was , 'kids grow up to be terrorists' (something I had also heard from a friend who had been in the British army during 'Northern Ireland conflict') British army did their best not to kill IRA terrorists though, that made them martyrs and got others to 'join the cause' ("shoot them through the arse and blow their balls off, prevents any more little terrorists" was the actual wording he used) More than 20 years later, the stories still haunt me, I'm just glad I didn't have to do the things described.

@robdi4585 Well, what are you trying to do to change things? Have you joined or started any groups? Politics is full of corruption, anyone who isn't corrupt going in will be within a few years or realise whats happening to them and get out of it. (and I was only involved with local politics for 18 months!) You may wonder why I mention politics, well, wars are started by old men and fought by young men As the saying goes, put up or shut up, age and treachery will almost always beat youth and enthusiasm.

@warmak4576 Yep, communism sound good on paper but the reality is those in charge are despots. Mao and Stalin killed way more of their own people than the Nazi's did in total

@E-s.thoughts Christianity is just another cult, just has more members than most other faiths. Is there a single 'religion' that isn't totally hypocritical? (Maybe one of the Indian sects?)

@benvasilinda9729 Vietnam was a FRENCH Imperial colony, USA only got involved due to the misconception and hysteria over communism which is still 'alive and well' today
