As you pointed out it isn't just electric bikes but many cyclists think they are entitled to ignore traffic laws. Personally I feel electric bikes and scooters should be licensed and insured as motorcycles when they are capable of more than 14mph. NYC didn't even require motorcycles to be registered in the 1970's (I only know because I bought some 1974 Honda's than were never titled). As with many things, get away with things a few times then familiarity breeds contempt. Didn't know you moved to NH. My wife is from there but it's too cold for me in winter 😄 (and it was 'only' -4 when I was there)
