When I lived in Britain it was common to get a 'sticker kit' to apply to headlights when driving 'on the continent' It prevented dazzling oncoming drivers. It may not solve your 'unable to see' but would prevent people 'flashing' at you on low beam

Main problem is, you may actually have to teach people to drive their mobile entertainment centers instead of stay 'somewhere near' the middle of the white lines. Driving standards I've seen in USA are abysmal

Nice to have an update. I thought I had seen some 'reflective' type stickers but I've been living in Florida 23 years and not visited 'home' too often

Have you even looked in the handbook? Just about all instrument lights can be turned completely OFF when you know how. There could also be a fault with the system which would be 'normal' for some manufacturers not allowing the instrument cluster to be dimmed (required a complete new dash in out case)

I'm British and always wondered about the US plugs and sockets. They look and feel cheap and nasty, glad you at least mentioned they are relatively unsafe. I guess it's a holdover from 1900's? British plugs and sockets are a traditional foot hazard as originally houses were retro wired hiding wiring behind skirting boards (baseboards) It's traditional but dumb, unnecessary and usually inconvenient. Ring main uses way less material and supposedly can supply higher amperage than spur mains? (I'm not an electrician but fixing motorcycles with 6v to 45,000v circuits teaches you a bit about electrickery)

Pretty sure that SONY was the second company I started avoiding due to the immoral greed, money comes first and we sue anyone who disagrees SONY was the main perpetrator of DRM if I remember right? (and actively 'broke' peoples computers) Personally I never had those issues as I was brought up with better morals

Never had a proble using 'splitters' or multi socket extensions, BUT, I always check the total load as it's simple thing to do and I've done it since late 1970's. Back then it was mostly motorcycle s killing batteries and generators but I=V/R still applies the same to loads and supply

I wish I had found this before I let wife blow $2500 on a slide out drawer freezer fridge combo with 'dual' ice-makers. It may not have changed her mind but we may have ended up with something slightly more efficient.

I always bought them as they were almost always cheaper than same drive without Lightscribe. As you pointed out, they worked great in the car as labels didn't get damp and fall off

It should be a simple software update to change when the brake lights switch on even if accelerator is being held at 25% . It isn't even necessary to have an accelerometer, just a tilt switch which wouldn't operate when coasting Pretty sure Hyundai/Kia will do it during a service to avoid having a recall or class action when someone gets killed. The regulations are crazy, even the 'blacked out' paint 'stylists' were using a few years ago was dangerous if you were the following vehicle, it was often illegally done but police ignored it unless other laws were being broken. Yamaha had a taillight/brake warning light on XS650 in the 1970's so it isn't difficult or new.
