  1. It should be a simple software update to change when the brake lights switch on even if accelerator is being held at 25% . It isn't even necessary to have an accelerometer, just a tilt switch which wouldn't operate when coasting Pretty sure Hyundai/Kia will do it during a service to avoid having a recall or class action when someone gets killed. The regulations are crazy, even the 'blacked out' paint 'stylists' were using a few years ago was dangerous if you were the following vehicle, it was often illegally done but police ignored it unless other laws were being broken. Yamaha had a taillight/brake warning light on XS650 in the 1970's so it isn't difficult or new.
