You can tell it will be a train wreck from "etimated 3h-15d", then "promise to deliver story points". You can't convert between time and story points, that's the point of them. It's one of those red flags like thinking that more people means less time.

@adambickford8720 yes, when you have deadlines, you're working with time. You can't have deadlines in story points, again, because story points are not time. Agile is not about "we need to have this big thing done in 6 months", it's about "we will give you something small in e.g. 2 weeks, and you can give us some feedback, and then we will use that feedback when we work on the next part." To truly be agile, you need to drop the idea of deadlines, but it's hard for "the business" to do that. e.g. You get a new CEO that gives the board a 6 month plan before they are even hired, and then suddenly you have some random deadline that was never based on reality.

@ContinuousDelivery I did scrum training and it was great, because I had an excellent trainer who really taught the fundamentals of agile rather than getting too bogged down in scrum ceremonies. In fact, every developer in my department does it, so we don't have scrum masters as a role where I work, we just all learn agile, and hold each other to it. Would you consider doing a video on scrum similar to the video on safe?

@adambickford8720 what sort of software do you work on? I work on a cloud saas product, which means we don't really have deadlines or ship dates, we just ship continuously, so for the most part (other than things like the example I gave earlier) we can be agile.
