@babynugget706 Completely agree, and I don't understand how she was given the plea deal in the first place.

@Zionrebecca Missing Person is a valid category for a legitimate line of inquiry. 😂 You don't need a dead body to investigate a disappearance.

@Bluemusic66 I have no doubt that this is a story and that framing is at play. That doesn't change that at least one of the cops and especially one of the detectives should have looked at the security footage immediately. If you are saying that is likely a lie, and they most likely did check the footage immediately, but because it can take many hours or even days to fully review the footage from multiple security cameras, then that is something I think is completely plausible. Given the massively lowered price of entry now to AI-assisted computer vision systems, you would hope that sometime soon all police departments would be able to ingest security camera footage and the system would rapidly process it and return timestamps with high probability matches on individuals you were looking for based on photos of the subject and a variable description parameters based on witnesses who could describe what the subject was wearing that day, hair style etc. Knowing how underfunded police departments are, of course, I suppose that's unrealistic 😢

@wakenow1 They were able to get her phone records pretty much right away, but the school wouldn't be allowed to show them the security camera footage? 😂 Far more likely is that they were waiting to narrow down the timeframe following interviews, before searching the footage. There are so many other plausible explanations for why they waited than "no warrant no way ese bruh" c'mon 😂

@jalyntan3044 There is absolutely no way that school security wouldn't show cops the tapes on-premises as soon as asked. Getting a copy of the tapes to use as evidence for a TRIAL is a completely separate matter entirely, for the purpose of investigation there is ZERO absolutely ZERO chance that the school wouldn't let the cops look through their security footage. Get real.

@anotheryoutubeuser5379 If you are right about that, and police cannot even look at security camera footage on-premises, then that is a completely insane legislation. I'm sure the principal probably has some discretion somewhere.

Wait, why on earth did they give Toni a plea deal? Was it because the conversation recorded by the attorneys was inadmissable? Why not both charge them with 1st degree murder?
