  1. I've been messaging with young engineer from Gaza who contacted me asking for money or assistance to get his family out of Gaza. He said that he doesn't support Hamas but he has the same goal as Hamas. He says ALL of Palestine is their land, and that ALL Muslims have an ideological and religious obligation to fight to get it back from the Jews. Pretty much straight out of Qur'an 2:191.

  3.  @Robert-xs2mv : I agree. I also think it's confusing to have a special term for one racial or ethnic group. Antisemitism simply means racial discrimination against Jews, or Jew-hatred. But you must also know that "semite" is not a group of people. It relates to those who speak semitic languages, such as Arabic, Hebrew, Amharic, Aramaic, etc. so you can't say that Arabs are "semites" because that's also kind of silly.

  4.  @Robert-xs2mv : I'm no expert either, and I'm not even sure what point you are trying to make. As you say, all of the people who speak English today are from different cultural or social groups, and the same could be said for those who speak Semitic languages today. I think it's a term that relates more to the ancient language groups. The Latin language group is probably the more correct term for ancient English speaking peoples. As for using the term race, as in 'racial' discrimination, it's the term that is in most common use today, though 'ethnic' discrimination would probably be a better term to use for the Jewish people because Jews don't look like one 'race' due to their being scattered all across the world for centuries and evolving with different skin colouring, etc. That might be one reason why the specific word 'antisemitic' was invented for Jews in 1860? As for speaking about Jews as an #indigenous group, the commonly used definition is "people from a unique cultural or social group who have had a continuous connection to a specific land, where they live or from where they've been displaced". The Jewish people have a unique language, kings, artefacts and archaeological sites, ancestral burial places, etc. which are all well-documented.

  5. He didn't "justify" it. He said the security lapse was something that could be fixed. What cannot easily be fixed is the ideological goal of the 'Palestinians'. They want ALL of the land, with NO Jews.

In 1918, when the Ottoman Empire was DEFEATED by the Allied Powers there was a window of opportunity for the #indigenous Jewish people, who fought on the side of the British, to be granted the right to reconstitute their ancestral homeland so long as the current occupants were given equal civil rights and freedom of religion. Wars have consequences and the losers of aggressive wars don't get to choose who gets what. The Arabs of Palestine fought on the side of the Ottoman Turks, or they stayed neutral. They've been on the losing side in all subsequent wars too.

  8. You'd have "attempted to engage in dialogue" with this Islamic jihadist terrorist group after the October 7 massacre? You think no dialogue had taken place before that? You think no truce was in place, with thousands of Gazans going into Israel every day for work? Dialogue had been happening for decades!!! All of the Arab countries have shut the door on the so-called Palestinians. They've rejected every chance at peace and a state of their own. They want ALL of the land, with NO Jews. Don't you listen when they tell us that?

  9. Israel has the legal claim to all of the land from the river to the sea. In return for supporting the Allies in WWI the #indigenous Jews were promised the chance to reconstitute *their ancestral homeland*, so long as the current occupants were given equal rights. Two million Arab Israelis today have equal rights with Jews. Israel should extend sovereignty over the Gaza Strip and offer "residence status" to the Gazan people. Those who REJECT this should be assisted to resettle elsewhere. Those who accept it should have a pathway to full citizenship in due time so long as they pledge allegiance to the Jewish state of Israel.  Note that the land of Israel is less than 1% of the Ottoman Empire's Middle East land which was ceded to the Allies and then carved-up for self-determination. The Hejazi Arabs got 99% of the land in return for their support in the war effort, alongside Lawrence of Arabia. They were given Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

The Balfour Declaration has been fulfilled in terms of the #indigenous Jewish people reconstituting their ancestral home, though they are still to extend sovereignty over the Gaza Strip and Judea and Samaria. Israel has honoured the conditions of giving equal civil rights to the TWO MILLION Israeli Arab citizens. Arab Muslim Israelis sit in the Knesset, on the Supreme Court, in the top levels of industry, education and health, and they are mayors of Arab cities.
