I have wonderful memories of Prince Philip from 1970 when I worked on the British Royal Family's month-long tour of New Zealand. I was presented to Her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh twice. It is lovely to remember Prince Philip in this way, particularly as I'm currently in the company of English people who have little or no regard for tradition and service. Thank you Freddie.

Very interesting and timely talk, thank you!!!🙏I was particularly interested to learn more about the concept of "al-wala’ wa’l-bara’", meaning #allegiance and #separation. Or, as Islam-qa website puts it, the 'concept of loyalty and disavowel'. It's embedded in the doctrine and obligatory for all devout Muslims to put into practice.

@noneya313 : An accuser from Australia has apparently spoken up, but I'm not sure if she's accusing Russell of anything illegal. Video is "SNEAK PEEK: Massive Brand damage | 60 Minutes Australia". I think there'll might be many more girls coming forward.

@noneya313 : As someone who has been raped and sexually assaulted a few times -- in my workplace, where I live and whilst travelling -- I'm totally fine with "repetitional destruction" because it's damned hard to get any police or court action for anything like this. Especially when the perpetrator is famous and well-protected by 'enablers'.

@Captain_MonsterFart : I was seconded to work as Junior Secretary in a specially created office of the NZ government which organised the 1970 Royal Visit over a period of about 18 months. We were a group of about 22 full-time workers, which included police, logistics, protocol, and military officers. We were presented to The Queen and The Duke on arrival and at the conclusion of the visit for them to say thank you to us. Another memorable thing was being invited on board The Royal Yacht Britannia in Wellington to drink gin and tonics with the Queen's administration team. And we travelled around the country staying in the same hotels so there was some opportunity for informal mixing between both teams. I didn't get to meet Prince Charles or Princess Anne though, because they were following a slightly different schedule to HM The Queen. Up to the time of the tour I didn't tell my friends what I was working on because it wasn't popular to be a Royalist. But when I saw the positive impact that the Royal Visit had on the people of New Zealand I was convinced that our tradition of monarchy was a good thing overall.

I understand what you're saying, but Russell Brand has written about how hard he sometimes had to work to manipulate girls into doing things that they didn't want to do. And he did things to them that he said they didn't like. I'm not saying he did anything that can be proven to be against a girl's consent though. It's kind of ironic that the same media and entertainment matrix that made him powerful, and 'enabled' him to have this risqué lifestyle in the past, has now turned against him...🙄

Thanks for pointing this out for those who still have no idea... "the political aspect is embedded in the holy texts".

@noneya313 : If a person's reputation can't stand up to scrutiny, both in the public arena and in court, then I'm happy that consequences apply. I don't want cancellation. I want freedom of expression for everyone. There is no level playing field where sexual encounters are concerned and far too many females get no voice at all this is. If this is where they can get a voice, then I'm all for that. The public can be the judge. And just to be clear, I'm extremely resilient. This is not in the slightest way about me at all.

@ltmund : I certainly do NOT agree that "false accusations... should be treated as disgusting as rape itself". Rape comes with the consequence of pregnancy and/or sexually transmitted diseases, and sometimes physical harm, not to mention emotional harm. We are now living with the positives and negatives of social media and mass information so we will have to learn to make the best of it, just as humans have navigated other new developments.

Why don’t they admit that Muslims follow an ideology which discourages integration? Islam promotes very different values to Sweden. Devout Muslims will be happy to accept the benefits of living there, but the majority will not want to adopt Swedish values.

@pennyadrian7774 : Maybe abuse victims will be happy to get some social justice?
