The land is disputed not occupied. The Ottoman Turks and Arabs of Palestine were defeated in 1918 and the land ceded to the victorious Allied Powers. In 1922 the League of Nations acknowledged the continuous connection of the Jewish people to the land 'from the river to the sea' and granted the Zionist Jews the right to reconstitute their ancestral homeland, so long as the civil and religious rights of the occupants was not prejuduced. Today one-fifth of Israeli citizens are Arabs who have equal rights and freedom of religion. Handing control of the Gaza Strip to the displaced Arabs was a failed experiment. They've now forfeited any right to a state of their own.

Why isn't Egypt being pressured to honour its obligations under the Refugee Convention to allow safe passage for those fleeing a conflict zone? Why was Egypt allowed to REJECT the offer by the international community to build a safe and secured humanitarian camp for children, mothers of small children, pregnant women, the sick and elderly just inside Sinai? Where else have vulnerable civilians been kept trapped in a war zone? it sickens me 🤮that Israel gets all the blame.

@margaretmcguire8952 : Were Gazans ever given a choice??? I've met Gazans in Cairo who fled the area one year before the attempted genocide of October 7. They said life was impossible under Hamas. They were relocating to Turkey after selling their land to an Arab in Dubai. They preferred to move to Israel but that wasn't an option at this time. It's disgusting that the Arabs of Gaza are TRAPPED in the strip. Only the wealthy can afford to pay the bribes to leave. An estimated 50,000 Gazans hold both Palestinian and Egyptian citizenship from when they moved there as economic migrants while Egypt controlled Gaza for nearly 20 years. I know Egypt needs a scapegoat because the country is in bad shape, but I still can't believe how the Arabs of Palestine allow themselves to be used as #pawns against Israel for the past 75 years. Egypt has an obligation under the Refugee Convention to allow them safe passage to flee the war zone, and it won't even take back its own citizens.

@margaretmcguire8952 : That's exactly what I'm calling for. I want Egypt to allow safe passage for people fleeing a conflict zone. Egypt has a legal obligation to do so under the Refugee Convention that they've signed up to. Did European countries TRAP children and mothers in Ukraine when Russia attacked? No. They were given safe passage and refuge in numerous countries. Egypt has always tightly controlled who came and went through the Rafah crossing. They know that Gaza is a breeding ground for jihadist terrorism. Trapping vulnerable people INSIDE the war zone also helped the Egyptian government's standing with its Muslim citizens as it put more pressure on Israel, which they all hate because Egypt has lost every war. Trapping children inside the war zone also helps Hamas with its war strategy of "human sacrifice". Why do think millions are spent on displaying photos of de*d babies? So that the emotional "useful idiots" in the rest of the world will re-post the photos and thus amplify the tragedy in order for Israel to be condemned. This war has dragged on far longer than it needed to because the children and women were not evacuated to leave the IDF an easier job to target the Hamas combatants and eliminate them as a fighting force.

@everythingreview767 : Israel is a sovereign country and any Jews who returned to their ancestral land from the diaspora are today called Israeli Jews. Get used to it. They are not going anywhere. The Arabs of Palestine today are either Israeli citizens, if their families accepted the reality of living in the Jewish state of Israel in 1948, or they are the displaced Arabs of the Mandate for Palestine. They've been kept deliberately "stateless" by UNRWA and the surrounding Arab nations for 75 years. This is a legal fact. Israel should extend sovereignty over all of the land 'from the river to the sea' and offer the Arabs "permanent residence status" in the Jewish state of Israel. That would give them equal civil rights, security, health, education, employment, a travel ID, and relative autonomy in their own Arab cities. Check it out...#OneJewishState

There will never be a Palestinian 'country'. The Arabs of the historic Palestine region do not have a legal right to the land and now they've forfeited any moral right. It was a failed experiment for Israel to let them be in control in Gaza.
