She says "it wasn't a civil war". But it was a civil uprising that turned into a deadly full-scale civil war, nonetheless. Is it possible for any Islamic country to have the type of government and human rights that we have in countries based on Judeo-Christian values?

@oscarwilde5473 : I guess you could say that, but Egypt's constitution clearly states that it's based on Sharia law. President Sisi does his best to balance between modernity and Sharia, particularly as tourism income is very important for Egypt, but it's not a free country at all, neither for Muslims, nor for the persecuted Christians. I've been living mostly in Egypt since Covid and human rights are pretty horrible there.

@oscarwilde5473 : I get what you are saying but that's a separate topic. My concern is for my Muslim friends and acquaintances who are mostly unaware that Sharia law is NOTHING like the human rights laws that we have in the West which can be modified over time to suit the changes in knowledge and social evolution. Islamic Sharia is based on a 7th Bedouin culture and cannot be modified. It can only be rejected. When the girl in hijab in the video says the Syrian people were peacefully "fighting for their freedom and for their rights", exactly what freedom and what rights do you think she is she talking about?

@jamelb2230 : Where do you get such nonsense? Hitler HATED Judaism and he LOATHED Christianity. His mother was a devout Roman Catholic but his father thought religion was a scam. Hitler rejected religion when he was a teenager.

@febinyasin8955 : Christianity separates religion and state. In countries founded on Judeo-Christian values, the laws that arise out of those values can be continually amended and updated to reflect new knowledge, scientific evidence, and evolution in the collective consciousness of societies. Christian values include everyone being treated equally under the law, no child marriage, no polygamy, no wife-beating, no rape in marriage, no slavery, freedom of religion, freedom of expression, etc. On the other hand, Islamic countries are stuck with 7th century Arab Bedouin culture which Sharia is based upon. The only reason Islamic countries don't implement "strict Sharia" today is because it's ludicrous to follow Sharia in the 21st century. Now that the world is very connected, Islamic countries are under some pressure from the modern world to conform to better human rights.
