  1. What a horrible tragedy. If the Arabs in Palestine had accepted the UN's partition plan, and the five surrounding Arab countries not attacked the newly-proclaimed country of Israel, things could have been very different. All wars and conflicts involve atrocities and create refugees.

  2.  @fatimazenasni1880 : We know by looking around the world today that any country which has more than 20% Muslim citizens is in trouble. Islam is NOT compatible with countries that are founded on Judeo-Christian values. David Ben-Gurion would have known that. When Turkey was proclaimed a new country in 1924, they FORCED a population exchange of around 1.5 million people. Those who were Greek Orthodox Christians living in Turkey had to move to Greece even though for generations they had lived in that land. And Muslims in Greece moved to Turkey. While this appears to be inhumane, it probably should have happened in Palestine too, with all Arabs hostile to the Jewish people moving to Jordan when the Emirate of TransJordan was established in 1921. Remember that around 800,000 Jews were also expelled, either by direct coercion or by continuing oppression, from their ancestral homes in Arab lands after Israel was founded in 1948. It's essential to look at the global perspective. Today it's pretty much only the so-called 'Palestinians' who still claim #victimhood status. Nowhere else are the refugees getting huge funding, their own UN organisation to perpetuate their refugee status, and massive publicity. It's not working and Israel is here to stay. Stop supporting them as geopolitical weapons against the Jewish people. Help them get resettled in Arab countries or elsewhere.

  3.  @steadfastway1897 : Please tell both sides of the story. Why do hardly any Jews live in Muslim lands today? Read about the violent pogram and massacre of up to 4000 Jews in Granada by an angry Muslim mob in 1066, as just one example of the 'marvellous' treatment of Jews. Jews and Christians in Islamic Sharia controlled lands are never assured of security. They are lower class citizens, oppressed and humiliated depending on the power of the Muslim rulers at the time. There is no chance of #equality for all people under Islam. Today in Israel over two million Arabs live with #equal rights to Jews and other minorities, and they participate in all levels of government and industry. I'm grateful for that.
