What laws does Israel have that discriminate on race? Two million Arabs are Israeli citizens today, and they have equal rights under the law. Arab Muslims sit in the Knesset, on the Supreme Court, in the highest positions of business, health, education and technology. To say this is #apartheid belittles those people who have experienced apartheid.

@Aya-cr1yi : The Nation State law outlines the roles and responsibilities by which Israel is bound in order to fulfil the purpose of serving as the nation-state of the Jewish people. It's not a law for individual citizens, and it doesn't mean that all citizens have to be Jews. One-fifth of Israeli citizens are Arabs! Arab Israelis sit in the Knesset, serve on the Supreme Court, and an Arab Israeli could be Prime Minister if enough people voted for him/her. All countries have the right to state what kind of nation they want to be. For example, Muslim-majority nations state they are Islamic and that they implement Sharia law, under which non-Muslims do not have equal rights with Muslims. If enough Arabs were voted into Israel's government there might be a chance to overturn this law. But if they refuse to even acknowledge the right of the Jewish state of Israel to exist, they can't complain that they are always #victims going through some sort of 'catastrophe'.

Where is there? Are you an Israeli citizen?

@pibroch : Arabs living in Israel with “residence status" are not Israeli citizens so they don't have the same rights as the two million Israeli Arab citizens, but they do have access to education, health services, employment, etc. and civil voting rights. They also have a pathway to Israeli citizenship which would give them equal rights under the law with Jews (with the exception of mandatory military service). I believe there is a growing trend for these Arabs to now seek full citizenship. There is no 'violent persecution' of Arab residents who are tolerant and peaceful. Arabs who live in the Palestinian Territories have their own governments (Fatah and Hamas) and their own laws which Israel has no control over. Under Islamic Sharia governments there is no 'equality under the law'. Muslims have a higher status than non-Muslims, and Muslim men have a higher status than Muslim women.

@harimauindia5775 : Israel has SECURITY control over the West Bank, out of necessity. They have a duty to protect their own citizens, including their 20% Arab Israeli citizens. If the Arabs of the West Bank wanted peace, they could have had their own country by now. But they tell us they want ALL of the land, with no Jews in it, so it's best to listen to them don't you think?

@harimauindia5775 : The West Bank is not exclusively reserved for Arabs, with no-go areas for Jews, so Israel must maintain security control within the borders as well as externally. This is regulated by the Oslo Accords which was a "mutually negotiated two-state solution".

@harimauindia5775 : Are you implying that a 'child' of 15-17 cannot do any harm?
