  1. I think Khalil's visa application documents should also be investigated. I once had a relationship with a Libyan-Egyptian man whom I met in Damascus. He reinvented his life-story to suit each narrative that he created in order to get something from people. One of his fake personas was 'Palestinian'. He had been given the documents of a man who had been born in Gaza, but who no longer needed that identity because he had been granted refugee status in Australia. Khalil also says he is 'Palestinian'. However it seems he has Algerian citizenship, studied in Lebanon, and then lived in Syria. I'd almost bet that he has a wife in one of those countries too, like my friend Ahmad who had a wife and child in Egypt, and that Khalil's US wife is just another 'cover' for him to be granted residency, and eventually citizenship, in a country of real influence. I'm now very careful around these kinds of people.
