If Piers read the Qur'an he would know that the god of Islam calls the Jews and Christians something similar to "abominations".

@sabtaingopinath9652 : If there's one thing that I do know after reading the Qur'an, The Sira, Tafsirs and many Hadiths, it's that Islamic scriptures are FULL of contradictions. Muslims are told many times by their 'god' that the Jews and Christians are not their allies, that they are "the worst of creatures". When living in an Islamic sharia-compliant state, the Jews and Christians are to pay the jizya while they are "humbled, subdued, brought low". Islam is a #supremacist ideology. There can never be equal rights for all in Islam.

@sabtaingopinath9652 : Quran 9:29: Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection. Quran 98:6: Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures. Quran 5:51: O believers, take not Jews and Christians as friends; they are friends of each other. Whoso of you makes them his friends is one of them. God guides not the people of the evildoers.

Islam has a bastardised version of Jesus. That probably bothers a lot of Christians.
