Islam gives you permission to marry and divorce prepubescent girls, so I find it difficult to believe you!!! In the early Mecca period, Muhammed was preaching almost like Jesus. It's in the later Medina period where it went horribly wrong in terms of morals and ethics. But that's the only way that Muhammed gained a following, when he and his 'god' promised sex slaves and war booty, and invasion and conquering.

@Talib-je7ju : Sorry but I disagree with your story about science and development of babies in the uterus in the Qur'an. Greek medicine knew about childbirth hundreds of years before Muhammed. Plus farmers everywhere knew these things at the time of Muhammed simply by observing their own animals, by looking at a stillborn fetus. We don't have "simple brains" like they did in the time and place of Muhammed. Even in other places of the world at the time of Muhammed they didn't have his "simple brain". And things have evolved far beyond this now. Girls must NOT have sex without contraception until their body has developed to the point of being able to give birth safely. Puberty is a process that takes around four years, so NO man should have sex with a child who has just begun the process of puberty (early breast development and emergence of pubic hair). This is disgusting. Muhammed should have known better but his carnal urges (feelings of debauchery) took over and he had sex with a child who was still playing with dolls. And Muslims do this TODAY because it is Sunnah to do what Muhammed did back in the 7th century. I can't accept that and I never will. Young girls should be protected, loved, and allowed their education and freedom to develop in the best possible way. Not trapped in a marriage where she has to "give her husband his legal sexual right, which will keep him and her from debauchery". I suggest you think again about what you believe in. Islam is NOT compatible with the morals of today's world. Thank you for contributing to this discussion.

@Talib-je7ju : ... "many of them [prepubescent girls] become grandmother at the age less than 30 y/o". What country/s are you referring to? This practice sounds horrific in the 21st century. It's a strange kind of 'god' that lets small girls have this done to them. Yes, prepubescent marriage is not 'obligatory' but it is the Sunnah of Muhammed so it is considered 'honourable' for a Muslim man to follow.

I also travel in Muslim-majority countries (I'm in Egypt right now) so I know how Islam is practised today from a female perspective. I do see improvements and positive trends, and I'm very grateful to ex-Muslims who share their stories.
