  1. the us would absolutely not allow the 13 original colonies to go back to being part of the british empire for a few reasons: 1. after the civil war, states cannot secede from the union. 2. we kind of need our government to run things (although with how capable it seems to be, that might not be as big of a loss as it seems...) 3. at least part of the rest of the united states would want in on this as well... as long as they didn't take our guns or our first amendment rights.
