I mean, the one point I will agree with flat earthers on is this: in everyday life, it is generally perfectly accurate to approximate the earth with a plane tangent to the earth at the point where my feet touch the ground. the average person spends their daily life on such a small scale that the planet might as well be flat as far as we are concerned, much like an ant walking on a watermelon could safely treat the watermelon as being flat (an ant walking on a watermelon even has a wall keeping them from going all the way around in a certain direction, assuming the watermelon is sitting on the earth, because it can't reach the part of the melon that the planet is sitting on.)
