I usually wait for the very last 'brand new' stock so I can get it half price and with full warranty. It is a bit tricky with updates, but they are now increasing their security updates period, so it will not be that bad. I am hoping to get the Fold 7 in 3year's time. 😁 It is only with phones that security updates matter, because your Bank can kick you out of their app if they don't think your phone is secure enough. I stay with Samsung but mostly for the pen feature. They floated the idea to get rid of it and had an avalanche of angry customer comments. I think they try to be as dodgy as Apple if they could, so I would not give them extra credit just because they are Korean. They screwed us with their Exynos chip while the Yanks were getting Snapdragon, so keep their feet to the fire and make sure they don't go Apple on us.
