When I visited my in-laws back in the 90's almost nobody knew Galichan (a tiny minority dialect close to Poland) or as they call it "Ukrainian". They literally used carrot and stick approach to replace the native Old Bulgarian more commonly known as "Russian", over the period of 3 decades. The minute the incentive and the intimidation are removed, everybody will start yapping in Russian again. So not a chance for any insurgency. The British Intelligence will continue to conduct terrorist operations. They have been doing it in the Russian Federation since it was formed.
