  5. SWIFT is just a bank message protocol like email SMTP. How does one remove Russia from SWIFT? They are talking nonsense. They can only block Russia from their end, just like blocking emails from people they don't want to hear from. This is only going to hurt the $US and EURO and strengthen the YUAN. Maybe not a great deal at first but it will snowball, because a lot of countries don't care for the $US or the EURO.
