@bjornnylander8754 This is Soviet mythology, probably cooked up by the Victorians, originally. The word "Rus" is a Greek bastardisation of the Bulgarian word "rozh" (rye/ginger hair/ginger person). This is the nickname the Kievans got when Yakov Svetoslav fled the Mongols, to Bulgaria on the Balkans, during 13th century AD. The reason why he fled to Bulgaria is because the Kievans were Bulgarians ( the name comes from the river Volga and was coined by the Greeks as "Voulgars"). The only movement of people was from East to West. You can be proud of your "Volgar" heritage (Thor was from Scythia, wasn't he).. No such people as the "Rus" ever existed.
