  4.  @meep3035  First of all Russia is not spelled "Russia". It is spelled Россия, tr. Rossiya. There is no such thing as "Rus". The name comes from the Greek word Ρωσία, tr. Rosia, which in turn comes from the the old Bulgarian word "рожь" (rozh' - rye; red hair). Russia/Ukraine was formed when the Khazars pushed the Volgars to the west and to the south of Volga. The 3 countries Bulgaria, Ukraine and Russia speak the same dialect (although the west Ukrainians are pushing a pidgin Polish-Ukrainian on purpose to create a new "nation").
