@maxmusterman9262 Funny but Brexiteers give full exemption to the Commonwealth, (because "moral obligation", I was lectured). So all this venom towards the East European guest workers is highly hypocritical.

The Brexit doesn't control immigration, it only blocks East Europeans from coming to work in the UK. If you thought that it will block immigration, you should ask Farage for your money back.

This was exactly the point of the Brexit - block the temporary guest workers from coming. The problem is long gone now and the number who remain in the UK is gradually declining. The middle class make a fortune on babysitting third world migrants. A lot of you who are lucky to have jobs and are complaining, actually have jobs thanks to the refugees, if you think about it. So why do people like Simon keep flogging the dead horse of East Europeans in the UK? Is it irrational hate or the desire to appear "not racially biased"? ...or both?

@ratherlargehooter8200 We didn't send them and we can't control them. They are registered as a "Nation" and protected minority in Europe. You already have welcomed a 1.5 million of them from the Commonwealth, but you made a big deal about a hundred thousand. Why don't you get on India's case to help urbanise them? Why aren't you rallying the Indian and Pakistani communities (their closest relatives) to support them?

@theted16 The UK has had controlled immigration for more than a century. I am not an expert on UK legislation but I do believe you are ahead of most countries in this area. There is no way to control refugees, short of turning them away, and that is not a law which the UK has adopted. What was touted as "uncontrolled immigration" were the high numbers of guest workers from the East European part of the EU. This problem is long gone now thanks to the Brexit. The UK will never enact anti-refugee laws or any meaningful anti-immigrant laws, because it is connected a large Commonwealth of African and Asian countries. Also the UK sphere of influence goes far beyond the Commonwealth countries. Please do not allow professional demagogues like Farage, to alienate you from the greater European community. These countries in East Europe were poor because of the totalitarian system imposed on them by the Great Powers. They are slowly recovering, and it is not a good look for Britain to turn its back over a temporary economic problem.

So you Believe Bulgarians are the problem, too?

How can white people be in minority there, when Mr Webb is blaming East Europeans for his woes?
1
@h____hchump8941 Yeah, but if I walked past you, you wouldn't even know it unless I opened my mouth and spoke with an accent. This would horrify you, wouldn't it? You can't trust a person with an accent, unless he is vibrant and colourful. You feel less threatened and more relaxed around the colourful folks because you can patronise them and babysit them.

@h____hchump8941 I am fully ok for the English to be looking out for themselves. They have a "non-European" culture they need to protect obviously. <sarcasm> Yes, you are distinct and valuable, and superior in so many ways, but you are also lacking in so many other. A little bit of East European will not be that detrimental, and in many ways beneficial.

How? He refuses to knowledge the difference between EUropean guest workers (which have been blocked and declining in numbers anyway), refugees from the third world and nomadic gypsies from India.
