  1. Retired mercs from Syria go to France and UK to claim their veteran pensions. This is the only way the French and the UK governments can sneak in the rewards and not look like the employers.

  2.  @myopinionsmayoffendyou  Maybe in the Algerian or Libyan, etc. armed forces they would have been regulars, in Syria they were marketed as "the Free Syrian Army" or "ISIS" as the Russian side calls them.
